AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 906 WA PELLA IN MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, Glenn Amundson (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner)
has filed an application for variations from certain provisions
of chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois,
for property commonly known as 906 Wa Pella (hereinafter referred
to as subject Property), legally described as:
Lot 30 in Joan Ruth's Wa Pella Gardens, being a
subdivision in the Northeast Quarter (1/4) of Section
14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to plat thereof registered
in the Office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County,
Illinois, on July 11, 1957 as Document Number 1747892;
and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner seeks variations from the following
provisions of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect:
1. Section 14.1101.B.3 to allow a 3 car garage;
2. Section 14.102.B.4 to allow an oversized garage;
3. Section 14.116.C to permit a driveway 32 feet 1n width;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the variations requested
being the subject of ZBA Case No. 42-V-88 before the Zoning Board
of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 7th day of
July, 1988, pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published
in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 20th day of June, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect and the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village have given further consideration to the variations
requested and have determined that the same satisfies the
standards set forth in section 14.605 of Article VI of Chapter 14
of the Village Code and the Board of Trustees further find that
it would be in the best interests of the Village to grant the
variations as specified herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect hereby grant to the Subject Property the
following variations:
A variation from Section 14.1101.B.3 to allow a
3 car garage.
A variation from Section 14.102.B.4 to allow a
garage 896 sq. ft. in size.
3. A variation from Section 14.116.C to allow a
driveway width of 32' (thirty-two feet).

SECTION THREE: Except for
other applicable Village
regulations shall remain in

SECTION FOUR: In accordance with the provisions of Section
14.604 of Chapter 14 of the Village Code, the variations granted
herein shall be null and void unless permits are issued and
construction begins within one (1) year from the date of passage
of this ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
