AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING)
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the Pebboner (Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect) have filed
an apphcabon for certain text amendments to Chapter 14 (Zomng) of the Wllage Code of
Mount Prospect to amend vanous regulations, and
WHEREAS, the Pebboner seeks amendments to the following Sections of the Village
Code
Section 14 304 D 1 f
Section 14 304 D 1.h
GENERAL PROVISIONS
GENERAL PROVISIONS
WHEREAS, a Pubhc Heanng was held on the proposed amendments, being the subject
of ZBA Case No 31-01. before the Zomng Board of Appeals on October 25, 2001,
pursuant to due and proper legal notice having been published m the Moun!
~ on the 10th day of October, 2001, and '
WHEREAS, the Zomng Board of Appeals has submitted ~ts findings and
recommendabons to the President and Board of Trustees of the Vdlage of Mount
Prospect and the President and Board of Trustees of the Vdlage have considered the
requests being the subject of ZBA 31-01
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
~ The recitals set forth herelnabove are ~ncorporated here~n as findings of
fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
~ Section 14 304 D 1 f entitled "Admlmstrat~on and Enforcement" of
Chapter 14, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows

Fences and gates at least four feet (4'), but not greater than five feet (5'), In
height to completely surround swimming pools other than swimming pools
hawng a raised deck at least four feet (4') above grade and may be placed
as follows
(1) Along the penmeter of the pool walk areas, or
(2) Along the perimeter of the lot as described ~n subsection

(1) In industrial and commercial districts when used for the
purpose of screening accessory building matenal, equipment
or vehicle storage yard uses
(2) In residential zomng dlstncts, along rear or s~de property hnes
contiguous to railroad nghts of way
(3) Pubhc swimming pools, along the penmeter of the pool area"
