Thereupon the President appointed the following judges and clerks for the coming special election to be held June 1st, 1926. Judges: Geo Busse, John P. Moehling and F. L. H. Lueders. Clerks :- Georgiana Pankonin, Alvian Wille and Fred W. Busse. It was duly moved seconded and carried that said appointments be concurred in. It was duly moved by Trustee Beigel seconded by Trustee Heide that sale of Fire Works be same as last year, namely no selling before the 1st day nor after the 4th. Carried. Thereupon the clerk read the foolowing application: May 11, 1926. To the Honorable President and Members of the Village Board of the Village of Mount Prospect, I11. Gentlemen: - I hereby make application for permission to erect two signs in Mount Prospect, Ill., one on Busse Meier Subdivision corner Main & Prospect and one in front of warehouse of Albert Wille. Roy Berry Co., It was duly moved seconded and carried that said permit be granted subject to the approval of the Chairman of the Street and Sidewalk Committee. • It was duly moved by Trustee Noll seconded by Trustee Heide that Finance Committee act as committee on Public Grounds. Motion carried. It was duly moved seconded and carried that the matter of having a wire fence on the ball grounds be left to the Finance Com- mittee. It was duly moved by Trustee Haas seconded by Trustee Beigel that An Ordinance DESIGNATING MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES AS OF THE VILLAGE OF MT. PROSPECT AS MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS. ROLL CALL Ayes Beigel Haas Heide Mecklenburg Noll and Pohlman Nays none. 1 Motion carried ayes six, nays none. It was duly moved by Trustee Beigel seconded by Trustee Haas that the following resolution for annexation be approved. ROLL CALL • Ayes Beige' Haas Heide Mecklenburg Noll and Pohlman Nays none. WHERMAS on the 4th day of May, A.D. 1926, there was presented and filed with the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospeot, County of Cook and State of Ills- nois, a petition in writing, signed by a majority of the legal . voters residing in and also signed by a majority of the owners of the following described property: The Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and the the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Thirty -four (34), Township Forty -two (42) North, Range Eleven (11) East of the Third Principal Meridian, all in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, said propetty being contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect and not embraced within its limits, and is not embraced within the limits of any other municipality, petitioning the President and Board of Trustees of said Village to submit to a vote of the people of said Village at an election to be called and held in aoeordanoe with. law, the question of the annexation of the above described property and territory; and wH. tEAS this Board finds that said described territory is contiguous to and not embraced within the present limits of the Village of Mount Prospect, and not embraced within the corporate limits of any other municipality; and WH R1 AS this board further finds that said petition is .duly signed by a majority of the legal voters and a majority of the owners within said described territory; and, NHMRMAS under the provisions of the statue in suoh case made and provided it is the duty of the Board of Trustees of said Village to submit to a vote of the people of the Village of Mount Prospect, at its next regular election or special election to be called within sixty (64) days after said petition was presented, the question of the annexation of such proposed territory; NOW, TH- R!0R?p:,BF IT RESOLVED that there be and hereby is called a special election to be held TUY,SDAY the 1st day of June, A.D. 1926, at the Village Hall in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the polls to be opened at the Hour of six (6:00) o'olook A.M. (Daylight Savings Time) and to be olosed at the hour of four (4:00) o'clock P.M. (Daylight Savings Time) for the purpose of voting on the proposition of the annexation to the Village of Mount Prospect of the prosposed territory be submitted to a vote of the people of said Village of Mount Prospect at said special election; and, RMSOLVED FURTHER that the Village Clerk be and he is hereby ordered and directed to give the proptrneoessary notice of said election and to prepare and submit to the voters I at said election the proper and necessary ballots containing the question of the annexation of said territory, as by law required; and RITS©LV J FTPTH7R that all other proper and necessary steps for the submission of said auestion to the voters at said election shall be and hereby are ordered to be taken by the officers of said Village of Mount Prospect who may have charge of the conducting of said election. It was duly moved by Trustee Noll seconded by Trustee Seigel that the following ordinance for issuance of bonds be approved. ROLL CALL . Ayes Beigel Haas Heide Meoklenburg Noll and Pohlman Nays none. WH_iAS the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, did on the 4th day of May, A.D.1926, pass an ordinance entitled: "An Oridnanee Authorizing and Directing the Issuance of Bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect Cook County, Illinois, To the Aggregate Amount of *6800.0(1 For the Purpose of Acquiring a Site For An Additional Well, Drilling An Additional Well, the Purchase of a Pump and Pumping Equipment, Erecting a Pump House, Purchasing All Appurtenances And Other Necessary Equipment and Paying the Expenses of Installing Such Pump and Equipment, All In The Extension and Improvement of the Munioipal Water Works System of Said Village ", which ordinance was approved by the President of said Village on the said 4th day of May, A.D. 1926, and provides for the borrowing by the Village of Mount Prospect of $6500.00 and the issuing of bonds therefor in said amount, the proceeds of said bonds to be used for the constructing and furnishing of a new well, pump and equipment for the improvement of the municipal water works system of the Village of Mount Prospect, and which ordinance provides for the approval and submission thereof to the voters of s!iahhYillage at the next succeeding special election to be held in said Village; and WHEREAS this Board has by its resolution heretofore adopted, called a special election to be held in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, on TtT SDAY, the 1st day of dune A.D. 1926, for the purpose of submitting to the voters of certain lands and territory; mot Therupon it was duly moved by Trustee Noll seconded by Trustee Haas that the following resolution be adopted and election be called for June 1, 1926 and clerk be directed to post notices. WH.HBAS said special election called for Tuesday, the 1st day of Jane, A.D. 1926, is the next succeeding special election to be held in said Village of Mount Prospect after the passage of said ordinance, NOW, THT YFORF, BF IT RFSOLVBD that the propeeittnn of approving said ordinance and bond issue provided therein, which ordinance is entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing and Directing the Issuance of Bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, To The Aggregate Amount of $6500.00 For The Purrose of Acquiring A Site For An Additional Well, Drilling An Additional Well, the Purchase of a Pump and Pumping Equipment, - Brecting a Pump House, Purchasing All Appurtenances And Other Necessary equipment and Paying the F;xpenses of Installing Such Pump and 7Touipment, All In the xtension and Improvement of the Municipal Water Works System of Said Village " ss y passed by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect on the 4th day of May, A.D. 1926, and approved by the President of said Board on the 4th day of May, A.D. 1926, he submitted to the voters of said Village of Mount Prospect at said next succeeding special election to be held TU7SDAY the lst day of June, A.D. 1926; and, BE IT rURTH7R R!SOLVFD that the Village Clerk be, and he is hereby ordered and directed that in giving notice of said special election he shall also include in such notice, a notice of the submission of such election of the proposition of approving said ordinance and bond issue, as required by law, and to prepare and submit to the voters at said special election the proper and necessary ballots containing the proposition of approving such ordinance and bond issue, as is by law required. • f •
