"Mount Prospect, 111., neb. 22 1924 To The Hon. President'& Board of Trustees Village of Yount Prospect, Gentlemen • ' 'e have been setting meters for the Village upon orders received from the Village clerk. We have been charging the village for the fittings used and time spent for setting the meter from the time our man leaves the shop or job he was working on till the time he returned. We find that Considerable time is lost by our man having to go to the village hall and get the meter and if the Supt. of Water Works is not there he has to go and look him up and have a meter delivered to him, also it has occured that when our man arrives at the house where meter is to be set no one is home and he must return without having accomplished anything. As our man has to be paid by us while he is calling at the house even though he does not set the meter we of course have to charge the village for the time. The above mentioned delays result in that some meters cost considerably more than others do, which at the first glance would appear wrong when the cause for the extra time is not known. We would suggest that whenever a meter is to be set that the Supt. of ater Wks. deliver the meter to our store advising where same is to be set. We would then try antaseertain if the party in whose house the meter is to be set is home before sending our man and we hereby offer to set any ordinary water meter for a flat price of 12.00 per meter plus the necessary fittings. Yours very truly, William Busse & Son, Inc. 1 (Signed) Per Albert E. Busse.'" c ^Mount Prospect, I11. Mar 4 1924 To Honorable Board of. Trustees Mt. Prospect, Ill. Gentlemen!
