The President called the meeting to order.
The Clerk oalled the roll all trustees responding present.
,Minutes of the meeting of January 1st and Jan: 2nd, 1924,
• were read and same were on motion duly made, seconded and oarried,
approved as read.
The Treasurer's report, as follows, was read and ordered placed
on file. .

It was duly moved by trustee Haas, seconded by trustee Jahncke,
that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants
for same.

Ayes: Gosch , Haas, Jahncke, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann.
Nays: None.
C Motion carried, ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon it was moved by trustee Pohlmann, seconded by trustee
Haas, that the clerk be directed to issue warrant payable out of the

water fund in favor of Frank Gerken, for the sum of A110.00,
for January salary.

Nays: None.
Motion carried, ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon the chairman of the Finance Committee reported
that he had Mr. Christ idle install plaster board ceiling in
pump Room and Fire Truck Room for the sum of ,48.80 that being
the lowest bid he had obtained.
Thereupon the Board took a recess for the purpose of
holding a meeting of the Board of Local Improvements.
Meeting reconvened.
Clerk called the roll, all trustees, excepting trustee
Heide,responding present.

Thereupon. the Chief of asked for permission to
mount new siren, that the Fire Department was purchasing, on the
water tower trestle at about the second span up. The clerk
was directed to write to the Village Engineer innuiring if the
weight of the siren, which would be about 500 lbs. , could be
safely added to the tower support.
Thereupon the clerk read the following application for
permission to dig up Street.
"Jan. 15 1924
To the Honorable President and Members of the Village
Board of the Pillage of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
Gentlemen:
I hereby make application for permission to dig up Mille
Street in front of Lot 5 of Block 1 of Ernst Busse Addn. for
the purpose of extending tile in said St. also to lay drain tile
from lot line of Lot 5 of Blk. 1 of Ernst Busse's Add.
to said extension of tile in Mille St.
• Signed Albert Mille."
It was duly moved, seconded and carried, that permission
be granted and that a deposit of $10.00 be made as a guarantee
that back fill would be properly made, said $10.00 to be re-
funded upon order of the board.
Thereupon it was moved by trustee Jahneke, seconded by
trustee Mecklenburg, that the clerk be directed to have phone
installed in the residence of the Chief of Police and to have
same installed, if possible, free of charge.
