The President called the meeting to order.
The Clerk called the roll, all Trustees
excepting Trustee Mecklenburg responding present.
• Minutes of the meetings of June 5th and June 25th
were read and same were, on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, approved as read.
Treasurer's report as follows was read and
ordered placed on file.

Thereupon the Clerk read an ordinance entitled,
"An Ordinance authorizing Public Service Company of Nothern
Illinois, its successors and assigns, to construct, operate
and maintain a gas distribution system in the Village of
Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,"which ordinance the
Clerk was directed to submit to the Village Attorney for
approval.
Thereupon the Clerk read the following bills -,
said bills having been approved by the proper committees.

It was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee
Pohlmann, that said bills be paid and that the Clerk be directed
to issue warrants for same.

Nays: None.
Motion Carried - Ayes five, - nays none.
Thereupon bill from the City of Chicago fe* $2.00 for
two Diphtheria Culture examinations submitted by Dr. B. T. Best
was discussed and the Clerk was directed to return same to Dr.
Best with instructions that the Village had made no arrange-
ments to pay such bills.
Thereupon bill olT Henry Beigel for the balance due him
on contract for Municipal Building,with the exception of 142.00
for unfiliished painting,amounting to $1,027.45 was taken np.
It was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by
Trustee Pohlmann, that said bill be paid and that the Clerk
be directed to issue warrant for same.

Nays: None.
Motion oarried, - ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded
by Trustee Heide, that the President be authorized to sign and
the Clerk to countersign and issue a warrant for the sum of
$315.00 in favor of the Mount Prospect Volunteer Fire Dept.
to pay for 300 feet of fire hose said warrant to be delivered
to the Chief of the Fire Dept. when hose is delivered and
accepted.

Motion carried, - ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon Trustee Gooch introduced the following
resolution which was read by the Clerk.
Resolution.
Whereas, there is not sufficient money in the Treasury
of the Village to meet and defray the ordinary and necessary
expenses thereof until the collection of the taxes levied
for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1923, therefore,
Be it resolved, that a•fund be provided to meet all
said expenses by issuing and disposing of warrants drawn
against and in anticipation of the taxes now levied for the
said fisoal year beginning May 1st, 1923 for the payment of
all such ordinary and necessary expenses of such village;
that the said fund shall be in a total amount of $2000.00
or such portion thereof as shall be needed to meet and defray
the said ordinary and necessary expenses; that the warrants
drawn and issued under the provisions hereof shall show upon
their face that they are payable solely from said taxes, when
collected and not otherwise, and shall be received by the
collector of taxes in payment of the taxes against which they
are issued and which taxes against which said warrants are
drawn shall be set apart and held for their payment;
That the President be and hereby is authorised and empowered to
sign and execute and the,olerk to countersign all warrants and
instruments necessary for the carrying out of this resolution.
It was duly moved by Trustee Coach, seconded by
Trustee Jahnoke, that said Resolution be adopted.

Motion carried, - ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon it was duly moved, seconded and carried, that
the Fire and Water Committee be directed to bbtain price on
floor for Municipal Building, cement in Fire Truck Room and
Water Pump Room and cement with 2 x 4 runners laid in same and
covered with maple flooring in the Meeting Room.
Thereupon the Clerk read an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance
providing for the appointment of a Zoning Commission."
It was duly moved by Trustee Jahncke, seconded by Trustee
Gosch, that said ordinance be passed.

Motion carried, -ayes five, nays none.
Thereupon the following agreement dated June 7th, 1923,
entered into by the Village President and Clerk with Mr. L. C.
Busse, as authorized in the June 5th, 1923 meeting, was read.
"Mount Prospect, Illinois,
June 7th, 1923.
AGREEMENT
In consideration of the granting of permission to the
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT by MR. L. C. BUSSE OF Mount Prospect,
Illinois, to lay drain tile across the South East corner of
Block 9 of Busse & Wille's Resubdivision in Mount Prospect,
so that outlet of tile of the Forest Glen Creamery Co. can
be connected to tile in School Street, the Village of Mount
Prospect hereby agrees to remove said tile from said South
East corner of said Block 9 aforesaid, within ninety days
after notice so to do has been given to the President and Board
of Trustees of said Village by Mr. L. C. Busse.

It was duly moved, seconded and carried, that said
agreement be approved.
Thereupon the Board took a recess until after the
meeting of the Board of Local Improvements.
The meeting reconvened.
The Clerk called the roll, all Trustees excepting
Trustee Mecklenburg responding present.
The Clerk read the following communication from the
President.
"July 3rd, 1923.
"To The Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect.
Gentlemen:
By virtue of authority vested in me by
ordinance, I hereby appoint John W. Pohlmann as
Village Collector for water service pipe connections
and respectfully ask your concurrence therein.
(Signed) William Busse
President Boar of Trustees."
It was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by
Trustee Gosoh, that said appointment be concurred in.
Motion carried unanimously.
