The President called the meeting to order.
The Clerk called the roll, all trustees, excepting Trustee
Gosoh responding present.
Minutes of the meeting of May 1st and May 22nd were read
and same were, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, approved
as read.
Thereupon bond of William Busse, Village President, for the
sum of $3,000.00 with Frank Bierman and Ernst Busse as sureties,
was presented and same was, on motion duly made, seconded and
carried, approved.
Thereupon the following communications from the President
were read.

Village of Mount Prospect.
C Gentlemen:
By virtue of authority conferred
upon me by ordinance, I hereby appoint the following
as members of the Board of Health for this Village
for the ensuing fiscal year, and respectfully ask
your concurrence therein.

"To the Honorable Board of Trustees
of tilt Village of Mt. Prospect.
Gentlemen:
At a meeting of the Village Board held
last June 6th, 1922, a motion was passed that the President
appoint a committee of five, to consist of three trustees
and two other residents of the Village, to serve as Public
Grounds: . Coma.
As our ordinance requires that all committees
shall be appointed every year at the first meeting held
in May or as soon thereafter as possible, and as I presume
you desire the continuation of a committee to serve as public
Ground CO,I hereby appoint the following to serve as members
of the Publics GroutsdS Cad. for the ensuing fiscal year, and
respectfully ask your conourrence therein.
Herman Haas
Ernst Gosch
Chas. Mecklenburg
Edwin L. Busse
Henry J. Ehard

It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said appointment
be concurred in.
Thereupon the Treasurer's report as follows was read and
ordered placed on file.

Thereupon the Finance Committee reported that books of the
Clerk and Treasurer had been audited by them and that they had found
same correct.
Thereupon bond of Christian D. Busse for the sum of
$30,000 with William Busse, Jr. and Henry Holate as sureties
was presented and same was, on motion duly made, seconded and
carried, approved.
Thereupon the Clerk read the following bills, said
bills having been approved by the proper committees.

It was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee
Meoklenburg,that said bills be paid and that the clerk be
directed to issue warrants for same.

Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Mecklenburg, seconded
by Trustee Haas, that the Village Attorney be directed to pre-
pare an ordinance creating a zoning commission and to also
prepare a building ordinance.

Thereupon the following report from the Village Treasurer

read and ordered placed on file.

Thereupon an ordinance for the levying and assessment

It was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee
Heide, that said ordinance be passed.

Thereupon it was moved by Pohlman, seconded by
Trustee Heide, that the Public Grounds Committee be authorized
and directed to have a trench dug around municipal building, so
that water would drain away from building and that they have a
drain provided as soon as possible in the municipal building so
that water from floor of fire truck room and pump room would
drain.

Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by
T rustee Heide, that the Public Grounds committee be authorized
to clean up play grounds and keep weeds cut dom.
Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann,
seoonded by Trustee Heide, that the President and Clerk be
authorized to enter into an agreement for the Village with
Mr. L. C. Busse, whereby . tile could be laid through the S. E.
corner of Block 9 belonging to said L. C. Busse, so that out-
let of Creamery Company's drain could be connected to drain
tile in School Street.

b y Mecklenburg, Trustee ecklenbur that the Chairman of the Street and
Sidewalk Commi tt ee be authorized to remove old wooden culvert
in Lincoln Street, which is in dangerous condition, and to have
corrugated metal culvert,which had been taken out of Elmhurst
Road, placed where wooden culvert is now located, and that it
be authorized to have the necessary filling and leveling
of road around said culvert done.

Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Mecklenburg, seconded
by Trustee Haas, that the Street Committee be authorized to have
streets cleaned and weeds and grass cut.

Ayes: Haas, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann.
Nays: None.
Motion carried, ayes five, - nays none.
Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded
by Trustee Haas, that 25 - inch corp cooks, 25 4 inch Curb cocks
and 25 4 inch 5 to 6 ft. shut off boxes of the Mueller type and
50 - 5/8 inch water meters be ordered.

Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded
by Trustee Heide, that the Fire Department be authorized to
purchase 300 feet of 2-i inch fire hose at *1.05 per foot.
