Minutes of the meetinm of March 6th and 8th, 1923, were read and same were, on motion duly made, seconded and carried approved, as read. The Treasurer's report as follows was read and ordered placed on file. TREASURER'S REPORT. Corporate Fund. ROLL CALL Ayes: Clausing, rosch, Haas, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Rays: None. Motion carried, ayes six, nays none. Thereupon t''e Clerk read the following applications for permission to dig up streets. (I) "April 2nd, 1923. To the Honorable President and Members of the Village Board of t?'e Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois: Gentlemen: I hereby make application for permission to dig up street in front of Lot 14 and 15 -Block 5 on .'mmerson St, to connect Septic Tank with drain. To the Honorable President and Members of the VillaRe Board of the Villa'e of Mount Prospect, Illinois: Gentlemen: I hereby make application for permission to dig up Central road from north line of Lot 22 in - Block 5 in Busse & +ille's Resubd. to tile drain tile in Central Road for the purpose of laying a drain tile. Signed MEIaER Q, BUSSE • per William Busse, Jr." It was duly moved, seconded and carried that all of the above permits be granted all work to be done under the supervision of the chairman of the Street & Sidewalk Committee and that grade at which sidewalks which Mr. Herman Behrens intends to lay be established by the Village President and that Mr. Geo. L. Busse be required to deposit :M10.00 and Meier and Busse be required to deposit . '25.00 with the Villa^e Clerk as a guarantee that refill would be properly made, said deposits to be refunded upon order of the Villaze Board. i Thereupon the Clerk read the folloiing resolution. "Be it resolved by the Village Board of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, that this Villave does here- by contribute the sum of Ten 'Dollars to a fund to be used for the purpose of paring the necessary cost of engineering and legal services, transcripts and other appropriate expenses for the presentation of the case of the municipalities defending against the application of The Public Service Company of Northern Illinois to the Illinois Commerce Commission for an order fixing its rate schedules. Said sums shall be paid out of the Contingent fund as provided in the current appropria- tion ordinance, and the Village President and City Clerk are hereby directed to issue a voucher therefore pay - abel to the Broadway National Bank as trustee of said fund. It is understood that said fund shall be disbursed by the cashier of said bank on1T7 on vouchers approved by the committee of city attorneys consisting of Frederick B. Crossley, y'ilmette, Levi Fuller, Oak Park, Arthur A. Huebsch, Brookfield,and Melrose Park, John Mayhew, Kankakee, and Frank T. Murray, vanston, or their duly chosen successors, and that any surplus remaining in said fund after all the proper expenses of said litigation are paid shall be rebated to the several municipalities in the same proportion as their original contribution to said fund. The acceptance of this contribution shall constitute an acceptance of these terms." It was duly moved by Trustee Jahncke, seconded by Trustee Goseh that said resolution be adopted. ROLL CALL Ayes: Clausing, 1osch, Haas, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes, six, nays none. Thereupon it was duly moved, seconded and carried that per- mission be granted to Louis C. Busse to remove three 71m trees on the Fast side of Elm Street, between Evergreen Avenue and Prospect Avenue, all refill of excavations to be done to the satisfaction of the Village Board. Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Jahncke, seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg, that plastered 2 x 4 walls at north and east side of pump room in municipal building be changed to 8 inch brick walls, all plaster and ceiling in pump room be omitted, plaster on ceiling and east,north and south walls in Fire truck room be omitted and that B. X. wiring throu'hout building be substituted for open 'wiring, all of the above changes and alterations to be one at a saving of ,50.10 to the Village which the Contractor stated -would be allowed on contract price of building. ROLL CALL Ayes: 31ausing, Gosch, Haas, Heicle, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes six, nays none. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Jahncke, seconded by Trustee Heide that the domrnis of the Villege Collector be fixed at 1cio of all money collected by him. ROLL CALL Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Haas, Heide, Jahncke '?ecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes - six, nays - none. Thereupon the Clerk read the following letter. "Mount Prospect, Illinois, April 3, 1923. To the uonorable The Board of Trustees of The Village of Mount Prospect; Gentlemen; By virtue of authority conferred upon me by law I hereby appoint George Busse Village collector and respectfully ask your concurrence therein. I respectfully suggest that bond that collector be required to file with the Village clerk be- for entering his duties be set at the sum of A15 000.00 Yours very truly, William Busse, Village President." • It teas duly moved by Truitee Heide, seconded by -. "Mount Prospect, Illinois, Arril 3, 1923. To the Honorable Board of Trustees of the Villave of Mount Prospect: Gentlemen: By virtue of arthori ty conferred upon me by law I hereby anoint the follo as Judges and perks of election for the annual village election to be held Tuesda -t April 17th 1923, and respectfully ask your concurrence therein.
