• The President called the meeting to order.
The clerk called the roll all trustees excepting trustee Gosoh
and Haas responding present.
The minutes of she meeting of August lst, 1922 were read and
same were on motion du:t.j, seconded and carried accepted as read with
proper correction made.
The Treasurers report as follows was read and same was on motion
duly made, seconded andoarried ordered placed on file.

Thereupon the clerk read the followin bills said bills having
been approved by the proper committees.

It was duly moved by trustee Meeklenber , seconded by trustee
Jahncke that said bills be said and the clerk be directed to issue
warrants for same.

Thereupon a gill from Alfred usse for stone and cinders and
hauling same to nis drive way 4mountiig to $20.25 wa8.dtkscussed.
It was duly moved by trustee Mecklenberg, seconded by trustee
Heide teat the sum of 410.2b be paid to Alfred Busse for the atone and
cinders only and that the clerk directed to issue warrant for that
amount.

Motion carried, ayes 4, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read the following application:
"I hereby make applioation for permission to dig up
Central Road from lot 10 of Ernst'Busse's £ddn.to
Mount Prospect to drain tile in the north side of said
Central Road near the residence of Mr. Carl Huecker.
Signed, Adolph Wille."
It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said permit be
granted.
Thereupon Mr. Geo Busse asked the Board to have weeds between
trees around park cut.
`' It was duly moved, seconded and carried that the matter of
cutting weeds be referred to the Park Committee.
Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Meoklenberg, seconded
by trustee Heide that sufficient tile for a 6 inch and 8 inch culvert
on the southcside of Central Road at Edward and Louis Street and tile
for a culvert on the no rth side of Northwest Highway at Owen Street
be purohased by the village.

Motion oarried, ayes 4, nays none.
Thereupon Mr. Henry Hamme r asked the village board to have an
electric street light inst _:died on Elm Street in tbe middle of the
block between Evergreen Avenue and Busse Avenue.
It was duly moved by trustee Jahnoke, .seconded by trustee
Meoklenberg that said Ugh', be ordered installed and that the Chairman
of the Police and Light Committee be authorized to order said light
installed.

Thereupon tbe • clerk read the following letter:
"To the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospeot,
Gentlemen:
The Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Co.
has consented to openthe Main Street crossing and
to protect it and Emerson Street crossing with
automatio€.signal men, in consideration of our con -
senting to the cltsing of Elmhurst Road, with the
oonditionthat if after the term of ten years the
village should petition to reopen Elmhurst Road
they will not oppose the opening thereof on tbe
ak ground that they had given another crossing in
place of it.
Inasmuch as these matters will have to
have the approval of the Illinois Commerce Commission
I have prepared a petition, four copies of which
should be signed by your President and returned to
me for filing.

It was duly moved by trustee Heide, seoonded by trustee
Jahonke that the President be authorized and directed to sign applioa-
tion to the Illinois Oommeroe Commission for permission to open grade
crossing at Main Street over the tracks of C. & N. W. Railway Col,

Township 41, North Range 11, East of 3rd P.M. and plat of Subdivision
of that part of Block 3 in Meier's Addition to Mt. Prospect in north-
west 1/4 of Section 12, Township 411, North Range 11 East of the third
P.M. desoribed as follows: comxneneing at the southeast corner of
Block 3 aforesaid thence westerly on the northerly line of Lincoln
