Minutes of a special meeting held in pursuance to the following
order issued by the President Pro Tem:
"Mx. Henry J, Shard:
Village Clerk:
Dear Sir:
You are hereby directed to call a special meeting
of the Village board to be held Saturday evening April 29th, 1922
at the hour of 9 o'olook P. M..at William Wineis hall for the
purpose of selecting a site for the Water - Works and to take up
such other business as may come before the meeting.

..The President Pro Tem Galled the meeting to order.
The olerk Galled the roll all trus'ees responding present.
Thereupon the clerk read the following letter to which were
attached four *hooks for the sum of $100.00 each from, William Busse Jr
William Busse & Son, Busse Land Co., and Meier & Busse..
"To the Honorable Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect, 111.
Gentlemen:-
We , the undersigned, taxpayers of Menmi Prospect,
realizing that your Honorable Body must economize as much as possible
in all your purchases for water - works, station, and site, in order
to make the Hine Thousand Dollars cover the total expenses, and
further realizing that the site offered by Mr. Edward Busse, next
to the Utility Battery Company, is probably the most preferable
spot for the water - works, hereby offer the amounts setopposite our
names as a donation to the Village for purchasing site offered by
Mr. Edward Busse.

Thereupon the site for water works was discussed and letter
to the Board of trustees from Bertha T. Shard protesting against
the probable selection of Alvina Katz's lots north of her
reaidenoe, as water -works site was read by the clerk.
It was duly moved by Trustee Heide, seoonded ky Trustee Haas
that site offered by Mr. Edward Busse (Lot C. in Block 10 in
Busse and Wills &a Resubd. in Mount Prospect) be selected as site on
whioh to locate the water - works.

Ayes :- Clausing, Gosoh, Haas, Heide, Jahnoke, Mecklenburg.
Nays : - None.
Motion oarried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Heide, seconded by trustee
Mecklenburg that the 4400.00 offered by William Busse Jr., William
Busse & Son, Busse Land Co., and Meier & Busse, be accepted.

Ayes :- Clausing, Gooch, Haas, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg.
Nays: - None.
Motion carried, ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Jahnoke, seconed by
trustee Haas that the President Pro Tem be auth+llrized to sign and
the clerk to countersign and issue a warrant for the sum of 41400.00
in favor of Mr. Edward Busse in payment for Lot C. in Block 10 in
Busse's and Wille's Resubd. in Mount Prospect upon delivery of
deed to the Village.
Roll Call.
Ayes : - Clausing, Gooch, Haas, Heide, Jahnoke, Meoklenburg.
Nays:- None.
Motion carried, ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read the following applioation for permission
to dig up Maple Street.
"To the Honorable President and Members of the Village
Board of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
(:: Gentlemen:
I hereby make application for permission to dig up Maple St.
from lot line of Lot 9 in block 6 in Busse & Wille's Resubd. to
M ount Prospect to tile in said Maple Street for the purpose of laying
a drain tile.

It was duly moved by trustee Haas, seconded by trustee Meoklenburg
that said permission be granted to Mr. Geo. Neitzke upon his depositing
410.00 with the Village clerk as a guarantee that repair and refilling
would be properly done, said 410.00 to be refunded upon order of the
Village Board.
