trhatees of the Village of Yount P'ospeot held in pureuanoe of the
foloviag order of the President.

Dear Sir:
Yot are hereby directed to call a 000
meeting ot the President and Members of the Board of 'Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect to be held Saturday evening March 25th,
1922 at 8 o'clock P. M. at William Wills's Hall for the purpose of
passing on moll resolutions as may be neoee 3ary to authorize the ask-
ing for proposals for a site for water-works and the advertising
for bide on drilling.of well and bide on water -work bonds and to take
up suoh other business as may oome befog the meeting.

Meeting was oalled to. order.
The Clerk Balled the roll all trustees responding present.
It was duly moved eeoonded and carried that ,Trustee Closch
be appointed to sot as chairman of the meeting, the President being
absent due to illness.
The following bills having been approved by the proper
oommittees were read by the olerk.
Henry J. Shard- -Cash advanoed.for recording deed from
Conrad Perdrowitz for a strip of land for road. - -4 1.15
Drainage Committee. Village portion of Serino. of Engineer
Rossiter of oost of surveying and preparing
plans for drainage northeast of Village 50

It was duly moved by trustee Beigel, seconded by trustee
Mecklenburg that said bills be paid and the olerk be direoted to
issue ` warrants for same.

Motion partied, ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon Trustee Heide presented the following resolution
and moved its al.ppttidn.

Whereas the proposition to issue bonds in the sum of Nine
thousand dollar► ($9000.00) to raise the neoeesary funds to acquire
a site for a pumping station and to construct a well and water works
system was du,y oarrisd at the special election held in this village
on the 14th day of Dare 1922,
Be it resolved that the Village Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to Gauge to be published in the Gook County Herold, a seoular
newspppar published weekley in the County of Gook and state of Illinois
a notice Or proposals for - a site for a well and water-works
and -for bids for the : sale of all or any part of said bond$ proposed
to 'be issued _and 1114041U `slid proposals and bids to be opened by this
board for ooneideration at its regular meeting to be held April 4th,
1922.
And be it futher resolved that said Clerk also clause to be
published in said newspaper, for not leas than three weeks, a public
notioe of the terms and oonditiona of the proposed letting of a
comtraot for the drilling and oonstruction of a well, as required by law
sealed proposals or bids therefor to be in the hands of the Village
Clerk not later than 8.00 o'clock P. M. on the 24th day of April
A. D. 1922, at whioh time they shall be opened by this board for oon-
sideration.
Be it futher resolved that in addition to the publioation
hereinbefore provided for and as provided by law, said notice for bids
to construct a well be published in some well established trade paper
oiroulating amongs contractors.
Trustee Beig*l seconded said motion of trustee Heide.
Motion carried all ayes no nays.
Thereupon the olerk read the following letter from the Village
President.
"To the Honorable Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospeot:
Gentlemen:
By virtue of authority conferral
upon me by ordinance I hereby appoint Mr. Hugo Thal Village attorney
and respeotfully ask your ooncurrenoe therein.

It was duly moved seconded and carried that said appointment
of Mr. Hugo thal as village attorney be conourred in.
Thereupon trustee Heide Chairman of the Health and Drainage
Committee reported that the committee bad investigated the draining og
• slough on the Northwest Highway southeast of the Creamery, and that they
eaatimated that it would require the laying of aproximatley 80Q feet of
the along F Sohool Street from the slough north to tile now lying in said
School Street.
It was duly moved by trustee Heide, seconded by trustee Beigel
that the Health and Drainage Committee be authorized to purchase aprox
imately 800 feet of tile of suoh size as they deemed neoessary and to
have same delivered along 5ahool Street, and that they report at the next
regular meeting at what prioe they oan have said tile laid at the proper
deapth.

Motion parried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read the following petition signed by rea-
idents of Mount Prospeot which had been filed with him and same was ordered
plaoed on file.

"To The Honorable President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect: -
Th4 Undersigned Citizens of the Village of Mt. Proapeat hereby
petition your honorable body not to vacate, nor ooneent to the vacation
nor ()losinngg, of the Smerson Street =casing over the.right of way of the
Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company, in the Village of Mount Prospect
but respectfully petition your honorable body to maintain said crossing
at all times, for theuse and benifit of the undersigned Citizens of said
villaIe• "
On motion duly made, seoonded and oarried meeting adjourned .
