The President called the meeting to order.
The Clerk read the following proclamation.

I, Henry J. Shard, clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, and keeper of the records and
files thereof do hereby certify that at an electionikadd in the
Pillage of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday April
10th 1921 the following named persons were duly elected to the
office set opposite their respective names and each of them has
filed in my office the oath of office required by law.
William Busse Village President
Henry Clausing Village Trustee
Herman Heide Village Trustee
Charles Mecklenburg Village Trustee.

Thereupon the clerk called the roll all trustees responding
pre sent.
Minutes of the meeting of April 22, 1921 were read and same
were on motion dal, made, seconded and carried accepted as read.
Thereupon the clerk readtthe bond of William Busse Village
C Pppsident°'fir the penal sum of $3000.00 with William Busse Jr.
and Edward Busse as surities signatures of said William Busse,

William Busse Jr. and Edward usse having been acknowledged before
a notary public.
It was duly moved by trustee Beigel, seconded by trustee Gooch
that said bond be approved.

Motion carried ayes six, we none.
Thereupon the clerk read the following communication fron the
President.
"To the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect:
Gentlemen:
By virtue of authority conferred upon
as by ordinance I hereby appoint the following committees for the
ensuing fiscal year and respectfully ask your ooncurrenoe therein

It was duly moved by trustee Holste, seconded by trustee
Heide that the committee appointments be concurred in.

Nays:- None.
Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read a communication from the President
appointing Christian D. Busse Village treasurer for the ensueing
fiscal year.
It was duly moved by trustee Gosch, seconded by trustee
Mecklenburg that said appointment be concurred in.

Nays:- none.
Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read the bond of Christian D. Busse
village treasurer for the penal sum of 45000.00 with Edward Busse,
and William Busse Jr. as surities the signatures of said Christian D
Busse, Edward Busse and William Busse Jr. having been acknowledged
C befor a notary public.
It was duly moved by trustee Holste, seconded by trustee Gosch
that said bond be approved.

Nays : - None.
Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read the treasurer's report as follows
and same was on motion duly made seconded and carried accepted as
read and ordered placed on file.

Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Gosch seconded by
Trustee Beigel that the treasurer be authorized and directed to tran-
fer 440.00 fron the salary fund, 440.00 from the Judiciary fund,
I C.: 430.00 from the Fire Protection fund and 4180.00 from the Health
and'drainage fund to the Street fund and to transfer 420.00 from
the Judioiary fund to the Street Lighting Fund.

Thereupon the clerk read the following bills said bills hav-
ing been approved by the proper committees.

It was duly moved by trustee Beigel seconded by trustee Heide
that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants
for same.

Nays : - none.
Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read an application of Mr. Albert Wille
for permission to lay a cement side -walk along the west side of
Elm St. in front of lots 13, 14, 15, & 16 in block 6 Of Busse &
wille Resubd.
It was duly moved seconded and carried that permission be
granted and that the President be authorized and directed to
establish the grade for said side -walk.
Thereupon the clerk read the application of Mr. J. W. Pohl-
man for permission to dig up Emerson Street From lot 21 in Walter
Krause's Subd. to make tile connection .
It.was duly moved seconded and carried that said permission
be granted.
Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Holste, seconded by
trustee Beigel that the chairman of the Police & Light Committee
be authorized and directed to have a new rope put on flag pole, the
old rope having tore and run of off pulley.

Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon a plat of Charles Behlendorf's Division of part of
the W 1/2 of the W. of Seotion 34, Town 42 N. R. 11 E of the 3rd
P. M. was submitted for approval of that portion of said Division
lying within the Village of Mount Prospect.
It was duly moved by trustee Gosch, seconded by trustee Beigel
that said plat be approved for that portion lying within the
village Of Mount Prospect, and that the President and clerk be auth-
orized and directed to sign said plat for the Village.

Thereupon the clerk read a communication from George A. Quinlan
County Supt. of Highways regarding the draining of slough on Prospect
Ave. S. E. of the creamery and same was referred to the Health &
drainage committee.
Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance entitled an Ordinance
for licensing Automobiles, Motor Truoks and Motor Croles in the Village
of Mount Prospeet, Cook County, Illinois, said ordinance being des-
ignated as ordinance number 30.
It was duly moved by trustee Gosoh, seconded by trustee Holste
that said ordinance be passed.

Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance entitled an Ordinance to
lioense and regulate certain Businesses, Occupations, Callings and
Employments as expressed herein, and to provide the term, the fee
and the method of procuring and issuing such licenses, together with
the condition under which, same are issued, and fixing a penalty for
violations of this ordinance, said ordinance being designated as
ordinance number 31.
It was duly moved by trustee Gosoh, seconded by trustee Holste
that said ordinance be passed.

Motion carried ayes six, nays none.
Thereupon on motion duly made seconded and carried meeting
adjourned.
