as the Northwest Highway, from the County line at Barrington, Illinois, to
Milwaukkee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, to be located NortherXy of and
approximately parallelling the right -of -way of the Chicago & Northwestern
Railway Company, is about to be commenced, and
Whereas approximately a half of mile of said highway to be oonstruoted
and improved lies within the Village of Mount Prospect; and
Whereas a part if not all of the roadway over which said highway
will be costruoted is considerably above the grade for the curbs and
sidewalks as heretofore established by said village; and
Whereas the construction of similar highways heretofore in said
village, the county offioials have not required the bringing of the road-
ways to the Village grade;
Now therefor be it resolved that it is the sense of this Board that
the construction of the Northwest highway at any other grade than the
grade as heretofore established by said village' would be unsightly and
a detriment to the adjoining property owners, as well as to the interest
of the village in general; and.
Resolved futher that this Board hereby requests the Board of County
Commissioners of Cook County to include in their plans and specifications
for the oonstuotion of said Northwest Highway in said village , the
construction of same at the village grade so that the same will be in
conformity with the grade of the adjoining streets and avenues which have
have heretofore or may hereafter be paved by said village; and
