State of Illinois) County of Cook ) I, Henry J. Ehard, clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook in the State of Illinois, and keeper of the records and files thereof, do hereby certify that at an election held in the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook in the State of Illinois, on Tuesday April ISth I9I9 the following named persons were duly elected to the office set opposite their respective names and each of them has filed in my office the oath of office required by law. William Busse Village President. Louis C. Busse Village Trustee. Henry Haberkamp Village Trustee. John W. Pohlmann Village Trustee. Henry J. Ehard Village Clerk. Thereupon the Clerk called the roll, President Busse and the follow- ing trustees responding present. Beigel, Busse, Gosoh, Haberkamp, Holste Pohlmann. * Thereupon the President addressed the meeting regarding the financial situation of the Village explaining that it appeared that revenue formerly derived from the granting of Dram -shop licenses would not be forth coming after July I, I9I9, and that ways and means must be found to obtain revenue from some other source if the necessary street repair- ing was to be done. Thereupon the clerk read the following communication from the President appointing the standing committees. To the Members of the Board of Trustees . of the Village of Mount Prospect: Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by ordinace I hereby appoint the following standing committees, and respectfully ask your concurrence therein: Finance Committee Judiciary Committee. Henry Haberkamp Chairman. Ernst Gosch Chairman. , John W. Pohlmann Henry Haberkamp Louis C. Busse Henry Beigel. Police and Lighting. Fire and Water (:: Henry Beigel Chairman. Thereupon the clerk read the following communication from the President appointing Christian D. Busse Village Treasurer. To the Members of the Board of Trusttees of the Village of Mount Prospect: Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by ordinance I hereby appoint Christian D. Busse, Village Treasurer for one year and respectfuly ask your concurrence therein. Yours very truly, William Busse Village President. It.was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Beigel that the appointment of Christian D. Busse as Village Treasurer be concurred in. Roll Call. Thereupon the bond of William Busse, Village President for the sum of three thousand (43000.00) dollars with William Busse Jr. and Ernst Busse as sureties was presented. Motion carried ayes six, nays none. The Treasurers report as follows was read and ordered placed on file. Balance on hand April 2, I9I9 4945.93 Expenditures 576.I3 • Balance on hand 369.80. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Haberkamp that the Treasurer be authorized and directed to transfer 100.00 from the Bridge and Sidewalk fund to the Street fund. Ked by the proper committees. Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Holste, seconded by trustee Gosch that the Fire and eater Committee be authorized and directed to negotiate with the Fire Dept. with the view of getting said Dept. on a proper operating basis. Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Haberkamp, seconded by trustee Pohlmann, that the Street and Sidewalk Committee be authorized to do necessary road repairing for the ensuing year. Roll Call. Thereupon the clerk read an application of Herman Behrens for permission to dig ditch for drain tile purpose along Main St. from Lot 2 Block 7 In Mount Prospect being a Subd. to drain tile running thruugh said Main Street. It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Haberkamp that said permission be granted. The President thereupon explained that the connecting of drain tile of Mr. Herman Behrens with drain tile running through Main St. would be detrimental to the other drains oonneoted to said tile, as the said tiles were backing up now and flooding the basements and the connecting of tile of Herman Behrens would make conditions worse. He stated that Mr Herman Behrens could probably drain his water along 'the south side of Central St. after said Central St had been paved it appearing that said Central St. would be paved in the near future. Thereupon trustee Pohlmann withdrew his motion to grant permission to Er. Herman Behrens to dig ditch for drain tile purpose along said Lain :St. Thereupon it was duly moved, peconded and carried that application of Mr. Herman Behrens for permission to dig up ditch along Main St. for drain tile purpose be "referred to the health and drainage Committee. The Clerk thereupon read the application and bonds of Adolph Wille and Henry Behrens Jr. for permission to keep.a dram shop from May I, I9I9 to June 30th, 19I9, said bond of Adolph Ville for 0000.00 with Edward Busse and Albert Wille as surities having been acknowledged before a notarz Public, and said bond of Henry Behrens Jr. for 0000.00 with Martin Busse and W. C. Wille as surities having been acknowledged before a Notay Public. It was duly moved by trustee Busse seconded by trustee Holste that Bonds of Adolph Wille and Henry Behrens Jr. be approved and license to keep a Dramshop from May I, I9I9 to June 30, I9I9 be granted, said Adolph Wille and Henry Behrens Jr. Roll Call. Thereupon the clerk read an application of Edward Busse for permission to dig up Emerson St. for Drain tile purpose from lot 16 Blk. 12 Busse and Wille's Resubd. in Mount Prospect, to drain tile on west side of said Emerson St. It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Beigel that said permission be granted to Mr. Edward Busse. It was duly moved by trustee Beigel seconded by trustee Gosch that the chairman of the Health and Drainage Committee be authorized to hire a team and two men to haul rubbish away and that he be authorized to have the village dump prepared and put in shape so that said rubbish could be properly dumped. Thereupon the President introduced an ordinance for licensing Automobiles, Wagons and other Vehicles in the Village of Mount Prospect. and an ordinance to regulate & License certain Businesses, Occupations Callingsand employments eta. in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, It was duly moved seconded and carried that said ordinance be re- ferred to the Judiciary Committee.
