ceived by him from the President.
Dec. 29, 1017.
Dear Sir:
Owing tc the fact that the next regulat nonthly meet-
ing of the President abd Board of Trustees of t'isVillage
is cn a legal holiday, namely New Year's Day, the regular
monthly meeting will be held an Wednesday, Jan. 2nd, 1918,
at the usual time and place.

The President called the meeting to order at 8 :20 P. M.
The Clerk called the roll, all trustees, except Trustee
Gosch and Trustee Wuerffel, responding present.
TheClerk read the minutes of themeeting of Dec. 4th, 1917,
and sane were on motion made, seconded and carried, accented
as read.
The Treasurer's report showing expenditures of 17.
and a balance of 0254.1) on hand was read by the Clerk and
same was ordered placed on file.
The following bills, having been 0 K'd by the proper
committees, were read by the clerk.

It was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded by Trustee
Haberkamp, that said bills be paid and that the Clerk be
directed to issue warrants fot same.

Thereupon the Clerk read a etition,to altep thlocation
of a roan which is now iocatea approximately b7� feet west
of the eastern boundary line of the village and which extends
south from R. R. Ave. to the southern boundary line of the
Village, to the eatsern boundary of the Village :r that one--
half of said road will be in thetcwnr1iip of Elk Grove and
one -half in the township of Maine; and a letter received from
Y. H. Brown, Town. Clerk c:'" thet ow? .shin cf Maine, requesting
the Clerk to notify our street eemmittee that the commissioners
of the township cf Maine had called a meeting for the rear -
int on the Town Line Road at two o'clock P. M. in theVil laFe
Hall, Desplaines, Illinois, on January 12th, 1918. It was
duly moved, seconded and carried that said petition and
communication be referred to the Street and Sidewalk Com-
mittee with the request that they attend said meeting.
It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by
Trustee Pohlmann, that the Street and Sidewalk Cor.mitte be
authorized and instructed to hire someone to scrape snow
off the sidewalks when necessary.
