The clerk called the roll, all trustees except Busse and Wuerffel responding present. The clerk read. the minutes of the previous meeting and same were on motion made, seconded carried and accepted as read. The Treasurer's repo=rt showing a balance of 32.06 on hand was read. The following bills having been O.K.'d by the proper committees were read by the clerk. Albert Wille - Scraping $ 3 Geo. Morfoot - Labor 5.75 Old Glory Mfg. Assn. - Street Lighting - (AUGUST.42 i7: f It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee C Pohlman that said bills be paid and that the clerk draw vouchers for sane. ROLL CALL Beigel aye Haberkamp aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye Motion cerried - Ayes 4 - Nays 0 The Chairman of the Street & Sidewalk committee reported that culvert had been installed in Railroad Ave. and that he expected a county roller to roll the crush stone in Railroad Ave. September 5th. Trustee Wuerffel thereupon arrived and the clerk was directed to report him present. It was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded by Trustee Wuerffel, that the Health & Drainage co •,mittee be authorized to have a tile laid through Main Street from S. W. corner Ale to the S. E. corner of lain Street and Busse Ave. and to have a catch basin installed in the S. L. corner of said streetcconnecting said tile with same and tc connect the surface water drain tile now running through Busse Ave. and emptying in ditch north of Ernst Busse's residence, with said catch basin. C. Moehling regarding his ill - smelling catch basin, asking him to have this offensive condition remedied. The electric lighting situation in our village was discussed and it was duly moved, seconded and carried that we take a recess to 8 P. M. o'clock next Tuesday, ,September llth, 1917. September 11, 1917. The President called to meeting to order. at 8 :15 P. M. The clerk called the roll, all Trustees excepting Wuerffel responding present. The clerk read the following communication from the Mount Prospect Improvement Association. "We, a committee appointed by the Mount Pros - pest Improvement Association, beg to report to your honorable body that at the last monthly meeting of said Association it was decided to offer the electric lighting system (consisting of wires and poles) erected in this Village and now the property of this Association, for the sum of eleven hundred dollars (11,100.00) to the Village and we respectfully ask your consideration of said offer." Ehard It was duly moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded by Trustee Busse, that the offer of the Mount Prospect Improvement Ass'n. for electric lighting system be accepted. ROLL CALL Beigel aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye Busse aye Haberkamp aye Motion carried: Ayes 5 Nays 0 Thereupon Trustee Haberkamp moved that Attorney Ralph L, Peck be authorized to draft necessary ordinance and papers for the purchase of electric light wire system and for bond issue, and that he be requested to present same at the next meeting of the board. The motion was duly seconded by Trustee Pohlmann. ROLL CALL 024 Beigel aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye Busse aye Haberkamp aye Motion carried - Ayes 5 - Nays 0 It was thereupon moved by Trustee Pohlmann, seconded by Trus- tee Haberkamp, that the matter of procuring current from the Utility Battery Company be left tc the attorney. ROLL CALL Beigel aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye Busse aye Haberkamp aye Motion carried - Ayes 5 Nays 0 The President reported that Wm. Mille had not received rent for his hall for elections held February 3rd and April 17th, 1 It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee Beigel, that the clerk be directed tc issue a warrant in Mr Wms Wille's favor for the sum of seven dollars (87.00) - (2.00 for February 3rd election and $5.00 for April 17th). Peck for legal services, the bill having been O.K.'d by the Finance Committee. It was duly moved by Truste9 Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee Beigel, that said bill be paid and that the clerk be directed to draw a voucher for sale.
