Aug. 7, 1917.
The President called the meeting to order at 8 o'clock P.M.
The Clerk called thercll, all turstees responding present.
The clerk thereupon read the minutes of the previous
meeting and same were on motion made, seconded and carried, accept-
ed as read.
Thereupon the clerk read the Treasurer's report Which showed
a balance of It28.41 on hand.
Trustee Haberkamp introduced theifollowing resolution:which
was read by the clerk.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, then is not sufficient money in the
treasury of theVillage to meet and defray the
ordinary and necessary expenses thereof until
the collection of the taxes levied for the
fiscal year beginning May, 1917, therefor,
BE I1' RESOLVED, that a fund be provided to meet
allsaid expenses by issuing and disposing of
warrants drawn against and in anticipation of the
taxes now levied for the said fiscal year beginning
May 1, 1917 fcr the payment of all such ordinary and

necessary expenses of such Village. That the said
fund shall be in a total amount of X750.00 or such
portion thereof as shall be needed to meet and de-
fray the said ordinary and necessary expenses; that
the warrants drawn and issued under the provisions here-
of shallshoa: upon their face that they are payable
solely from said taxes when collected and not other-
wise, and shall be received by the collector of
taxes in payment of the taxes against which they
are issued and which taxes against which said warrants
are drawn shall be set apart and held for their pay- -
rent; that the President be and is hereby authorized
and empowered tcsign and execute and the clerk t o
countersign all warrants and instruments necessary
for the carrying out cf this resolution.
It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by
Trustee Wuorffel, that the above resolution be adopted.

It was duly moved by Trustee Wuerffel, seconded by Trustee
Beigel that all anticipation warrants issued upon authorization
of this resolution bear 5% per annum.

The following bills having been O.K.'d by the proper
committees were read.
Henry Hammer $ 1.50 labor
Mt. Prospect Improvement Assn. $ 3,.42 light
Albert Wille 5.00 scrapping
Albert Wille 110.513 crush stone
Am. Busse & Son 45.9 culvert
Total $196.35
It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by
Trustee Pohlmann that said bill be paid and that the clerk be .
instructed to issue vouchers for same.

The Chairman of the Street and Sidewalk Committee reported
that he had two stret sewer tiles which were broken replaced.
-- The matter of issuing a franchise to the Public Service
Company for gas was discussed and on motion made, seconded and
carried the clerk was directed to write to the Village of DesP1 ines
and Arlington Heights tc inquire as to the percentage the Public
Service Company pays those Villages for gas consumed, how long
a service lead was installed free of charge and whether or not
a certain amount of gas had to be consumed before percentage
was paid.
The President reported that WM Wille wculd allow the Vil.Beard the
use of his hall fcr two dollars per meeting.
It was duly moved by Trustee Wuorffel, eeccnded by Trustee
Busse that W:m.Wille be paid $b2.00 per meeting for the use of the
hall, he to furnish the light and heat.

The clerk read the Chicago Telephone Company's acceptance
of franchise granted at the July 3rd meeting ark ea'r was ordered
placed on file.
It was duly moved by Trustee Wuerffel, seconded by Trustee
Pohlmann, that the clerk purchase a 9 x 6 flag.
