MINUTES OF A REGULAR FETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MT
PROSPECT ILLINOIS HELD AT THE V
VILLAGE HALL ON T '+' 12:T1{ DAY
OF JULY 1938 at 8 OCLOCK P.M.
Due to the absence of the Village Clerk on account of
Illness President Besander appointed Fred Wille to aot as
temporary clerk.
President Besander called the meeting to order and upon
the clerk calling the roll the following trustees were found
to be present, Trustees, Greinke, Haberkamp, Harrington,
Hennix and Wille. Trustee Haas was absent.
It was movee by Trustee Hennix and seconded by Trustee
Wille that the minutes of the June meeting be accepted as
read. The motio$ was carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by
00 Trustee Harrington that the following report of the treasurer
CrD be accepted and, placed on file. The motion was carried.

It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by
Trustee Greinke that the special assessment report be placed
on file. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Haberkampmand seconded
By Trustee Hennix to give the V.F.W. permission to run a
carnavil in the Village on August 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7th, incl-
uding Sunday and to barricade the ,street if necessary. The
motion carried by a vote of acclamation.
it was moved by Trustee Harrington and seconded by
Trustee Wille that the village empioy.two men to assist the
firm of Lybrand, Roos Bros. & Montgomery public accountants in
auditing the special assessment records of the village at a
salary of *20.00 per week for each man. The m otion was ,].
carried with the following vote, Ayess Greinke, Haberkamp
Harrington, Hennix and Wilie. No nays.
The following bills were approved upon a motion made
by Trustee Hennix and seoond of Trustee Wille. The following
Trustees voted Ayes Greinke, Haberkamp, Harrington, Hennix and
Wilie. No nays.

It was moved by Trustee Harrington and seconded by .

motion was passed with the following vote, Ayeat Greinke,

A motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded
by Trustee Greinke that the building code of 1938 be published
in the Mt Prospect Review as per Paddocks bid which is $400.00
including 1000 booklets. The publisher to be notified to make
a notation on the oover of the booklet * 50% per copy ". The
motion was passed with the following vote Ayes, Greinke, Haber -
kamp Harrington, Hennix and 4 ille. No nays.

Itowas moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by
Greinke that the liquor license beginning May let 1938 and end-
ing 2pril 30th 1939 for lira Ella Burda be cancelled and that she
be given a refund and a new license be issue to Mrs. May Golfer.
The vote on this motion was as follows Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp,
Harrington, Hennix and Wille. No nays.

It was moved by Trustee Hennix and seconded by Trustee

Said ordinance was adopted woth the following votes Ayess Greinke

It was moved by Trustee Harrington and seconded by
Trustee 1ii1e. taht the transpotation of the two clerks hired
in at4iting the special assesment records, be paid by the

A discussion tookmpiaae several times during the
evening in securing capable short hand writer to take the minutes
on regular business meetings. It was agreed that the President
ask Mr. Schumaoher to take the minutes of the next regular
meeting as an experiment.
Mr Boyland inquired as to what action or progress was
being made in regards to the proposed lighting project. After some
diseusaian it was decided, that if any thing developed during
the month and the Presiden deemed it necessary, that he call a
special meeting. No other action taken.
A petition for street lights in centralwood subdivision
signed by the residents thereof was read to the trutees be Trustee
Haberkamp. This matter was referred to the chairman an lights for
investigation.

disussion took place to change the oontrol on the
s top and go lights. The control now in use is not owned by the
village. The ohairman on lights reported that the oontrol had not
been *binged due to the lighting project pending, which would
mean widening of the highway and the control box would have to
be moved.
Some disuusion took plaoe regarding vacations for
village employees. it was agreee that the appointed villeg employee
be entitled to two weeks vacation. The dates to be decided by
Chief WhittenberG.

It was moved by Trustee Hennix and seconded by Trustee
Greinke that a resolution be passed requalifying the Mt Prospect
State Bank and the First National Bank of Chicago as heretofor
depositories of the funds of Fred G. Mille. as Village Treasurer
and Collector. of the village of Mt Prospect. The motion was
ppassed with the following tote. Ayes Greinke, Haberkamp Harrington
eennix and Mille. No Hays.
There being no further business to xome before said
meeting it was regularly moved and seconded that the meeting be
adjourned. which motion was passed.
