HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/02/1940 VB minutes MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING 215 OF TTE PRESIDENT & BOARD OF Trustees OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT P30 SPE CT ILLINOIS, HELD ON JULY 2ND 1940. AT THE VILLAGE HALL. President Besander called the meeting to order and upon the clerk calling the roll the following Trustees were found to be present: Trustees Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Pendleton and Wille. Trustee Mortimer was absent. It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee 2 1 Greinke that the board canvas the vote of the Special election which was held on June 25t-i, 1940. The motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by ' Trustee Greinke that inasmuch as the vote was 55 votes for Pendleton and 1 Vote for Frank Biermann, that M. B. Pendleton be declared elected as Village Trustee to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of J. D. Binkley. The malltaxxxvote on said pp motion was as follows ;Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp, Haas and Wille. No nays. cs � W It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee .e.* Wille that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as read. . The motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Wille, that Mr. Besander appoint Mr Pendleton to fill the committee vacancies formerly held by Mr Hinkley. The vote was . passed with the following vote: Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp and Wille. Trustee Pendleton passed. It' was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Li Greinke thatvthe following report of the treasurer be accepted as read. The motion oarried. The motion was carried. 216 It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinle t at the V. F. 1. be granted permission to run the carnival at Northwest Highway and central roads. The motion carried. A► motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the street committee be authorized to complete the W P A project on Albert street from Northwest Highway to Evergreen street. The motion was carried with the following vote. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp Pendleton and Wille. No nays. It was moved by Trustee Wille and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the Village purchase a Truck from Herman F. Meyn for the sum of $400.00 and the old Ford Truck. the money to be taken out of the Wtare fund. The motion was carried with the following vote Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp Pendleton and Wilde. No nays. A motion was made by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Wille. that the following bills be paid and the clerk be authorized to draw vouchers for same. Harrington on the plan commission to fill the vacancy created bi the resignation of Mr Binkley. The motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Pendleton to . concur in the fo3►1owing appointments to the Board of Appeals of men whose term have expired. Herman F. Meyn 5 years E. C. Dovale 4 years Harry Turok 3 years - saud motion was carried with the following vote Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Pendleton a-d 1i11e No nays. 3 It was move by Trustee Wille and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the following resolution, regarding the election of M. B. Pendleton to fill the vacancy of J. D. Binkley,bbe passed the resolution was passed by a vote of acclamation. 217 Whereas, heretofore on 02 about, . I: to wit,- May 9, 19 John D. Binkley, be and the cnM° are hereby of f i rm: ee_ and �.pprov ed. ■ 218 It was moved by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Greinke that Associated charities be permitted to hold a tag day in Mt Prospect on Sept. 9th, 1940. The motion was carried by a vote of acclamation. 2.A A motion was made by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Ville, that an ordinance appropriating monies for the use of the Tillage of Mt Prospect for the fiscal year ending April 30th 1941 be passed. The motion was carried with the following vote Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Pendleton and Ville. No nays. Thee being ne further business to come before said meeting it was regularly moved, seconded and passed to adjourn.
