HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/01/1940 VB minutes 225 ■ MINUTES OF A REGULAR I1 TING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTATES OF THE VILLAGE 02 MT PROSPECT ILLINOIS, HELD ON OCTOBER 1st, 1940. President Besander called the meeting to order and upon the clerk calling the roll the following trustees were found to be presents Trustees Greinke, Haberkamp, Mortimer and Wills. Trustees Pendleton and Haas were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved on amotion made by trustee Haberkamp seeomded by Trustee Greinke. C It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinke to allow the Lake Shore Sugar Company to load their sugar beets in Mt Prospect on the Chicago & Northwestern right of way. The motion was carried by a vote of acclamation. A motion was made by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Ville, that the weeds onForest Ave. be out and that the village grade the street from Henry to Isabella, estimate of time to do the work about three days. The motion was carried by a vote of 010 acclamation. :' It was moved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the matter concerning the Jehovahs witnesses be <t referred to the Village attorney and the Judiciary committee, they to make a report at the next board meeting. The motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the matter of a street light at arrxxWille and Gregory be referred to the street committee for further action. The motion was carried. A. motion was made by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the following report of the treasurer be placed on file. The motim was carried. It was mswsie by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Wille that the board accept the reoomendation of the health and Drain- age committee, the village to act as sponsor to put a sewer on Emerson street from Sha Bonne trail to the Village limits at no ex- pense to the village. The motion was carried. A motion was made by Trustee Mortimervand seconded by Trustee Wille that a resolution requesting gates at bhe railroad cssssines be adopted. Said resolution was adopted with the following vote. . Ayess Breinke, Haberkamp Mortimer and Ville. No nays. It wasomoved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Wille, that the village petition the State of Illinois to study traff* control at Northwest Highway and Main street. Motion was carried with the following vote. Ayess Greinke, Haberkamp, Mortimer and Wile. No nays. It was moved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Greinke to have Mr. Roderick audit the Vater„ ooks. The motion was carried. IN A motion was made by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp to have the clerk order the necessary receipt books re- quired by him. The motion was carried. A motion was made bi Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp to have the next Village Board meeting on November 8th, due to the election being held on the regular meeting night. The motion was carried. There being no further businedd to come before said meeting it was regularly moved, seconded and paased to adjourn. [I
