President Besander called the meeting to order and upon the clerk calling the roll the following rustees were found to be present. Trustees Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Mortimer and Wille. The minutes of the previous meeting were approveu on a motion made by Trustee Haberkamp secondeu by Trustee Greinke. The following report of the tresurer was also approved as read, on a motion made by Trustee Greinke, seconded by Trustee Haberkamp. The following bills were approved on a motion made by Trustee Mortimer and seeondedcby Trustee Haas. The vote was as f follows, Ayess Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Mortimer and Wille, No nays. MINDTPS OP A REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE mum HALL AT MT.PROSPECT ILLINOIS BY THE' PRRSTDIENT & BOARD OF TRUSTEES MX ON THE 6T!!, DAY OF MAY 1941. The meeting was called to Order by President Besander. The clerk called the roll. The following Trustees were found to be presents Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille. The clerk then read the following proclamation: Mt. prospect I11. May 6th,1941. I Edwin L. Busse clerk of the Village of Mt.Prospeot Cook County, Illinois, and keeper of the records and files thereof, do hereby certify that at an election held on Tuesday April 15th,1941 the following named persons were duly elected to the office set opposite their respective names and each of them has filed in my office the oath of office required by law. Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by ordinance I hereby appoint Edwin Greinke assiestant Superitendent of Buildings,Water Works; and Streets, at a salary of$ 125.00 per month and ask your concurrence therein. �. Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by ordi- nance I hereby appoint the following persons on Health Board to serve for the ensuing four years and ask your concurrence therein. Prospect I11. Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by ordi- nance I hereby appoint Hveyi0. Nickel as Village Attorney at a salary based on an hourly rate of $ 10.00 per hour, but not to exceed $ 2,000.OQ per year and respectfully ask your concurrence therein. _\ Respectfully I.E.Besander Pres. It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee Mortimer that said appoittments be concurred in. Flo Motion Carried. lV f A motion made by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Morti- mer t$$t an ordinance to ammend section 3, paragraph 10, Section 6, Section 8, and Section 9, of an ordinance entitled, "An ordinance to regulate the sale of Alcoholic liquors in the Village of Mt. Prospect, County of Cook, and State of Illinois" passed April 3rd, 1934, approved April 7th, 1944 and published April 13th, 1934 be passed. Roll Call. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille. Nays NONE. 6 Ayes No. Nayea. A motion made by Trustee Greinke, seconded by Trustee haberkamp to dispense with the Veteran of Foreign Wars, and American Legion liquor license fees. Roll Call: Ayes Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille. NAYS NONE. 6 AYES NO NAYES MOTION CARRIED. W Trustee Mortimer stressing the need of a new Zoning Ordinance a motion was made by Trustee Wille seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that a committee be appointed to draft a new Zoning Ordinance and draw map indicating proposed Zoning and within 60 days to report to the Board of Trustees their recommendation before public hearing is held. Motion Carried. To act as members of the new Zoning Committee the following were appointed: Mr. Harvey Motzer, Mr. Harold E. Willson, Mr. James J. Walsh, Mr. Helgar W. Carlson, Mr. Maurice B. Pendleton. [:- A motion made by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee Haas, permitting the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion to sell poppies on the Village Streets on May 26th,1941. Motion Carried. A motion made by Trustee Mortimer, seconded by Trustee Haas, that the Chicago & Northwestern RR Park lease be renewed Motion Carried. It was moved by Trustee Mortimer, seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the Mt. ProspecState Bank and the First National ank of Chicago be designated as depositories for the fide of the Village Treasurer and Collector. Motion Carried. It was moved by Trustee Mortimer seconded by Trustee LeMay that the Mt. Prospect State Bank be and is hereby autho- rized to pay out of the funds of this Village on deposit with it from time to time checks drawn upon said depository and signed in the name of the Village by its President I.E.Besander its Village Clerk S.W.Burda, and its treasurer Fred G. Wille Roll Call. AYES: Greinke, Naas, Naberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, and Wille. Nays NONE. Motion Carried. The following bills were then reads Illinois Mun.League Membership $ 20.00,E Transportation Wolf Case Mrs. S.W.Wille 1.10 Harold E. Willson 1.10 Halen 1.10 Bishop 1.10 It was moved by Trustee Mortimer, seconded by Trustee Wille that the bills be approved. Roll Calls Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille.
