First: s'hether the Mandamus proceeding of 199 compelling
the Village Board to appropriate for funds to pay a judgment
concerning the Chas. E. Albers case had been complied with.
The attorney informed M r. Ahrier that the Village prior to
his appoitment, had passed an amended ordinance in 1939
appropriating for funds as requested in the radamus writ, but
that objections were filed against the appropriation bill by
some tax -payer and that the amended appropriation bill was
ruled illegal. Since then the Madamus grit h p. been, outlawed.

Second: The reason for the long delay on the surety suit?
The attorney reported that the case against the surety had to wait" om
its turn in the court and that he was not pressing the rase for a
certain reason which he could not disclose at the present time,
but assured rr. Ahrler, and the citizens 'resent that the reason
was for the good of the Village citizens.
Third: How the present Village Attorny could defend the
Village in the case of Ohio Life Insurance Company, filed
against the Village of Yount Prospect by Yorkman Donovan and

the Feehanville Drainage District in regards to intakes for the
draining of the surface water, and that the Curb e: Gutter
question rested between them and the obligated party on
the contract.
Due to the numerous calls received, pertaining to the
