MINUTES OF A REGULAR MONTHLY
ME.t;l' ING HELD IN THE VILLAGE
HALL AT MT.PROSPECT ILLINOIS
BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF
JULY A.D. 1942.
The meeting was called to order by President Besander, the roll
being called the following Trustees were found to be present:
Greinke, Haas, Haberkatnp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille.
Mr. Leyland from the Health Department having made a long trip
to attend this meeting, Trustee Mortimer requested that the
President call on him first to hear his report and suggestions.
Mr. Leyland discussed the regular check ups by the State Dept,
the findings together with their recommendations, also that the
Well no. 2, the water is now in the process bf Chlorination.
It was moved by Trustee LeMay seconded by Trustee Wille that the
following resolution be adopted: 'Resolution for improvement by
Municipality under the rotor Fuel Tax Law' Be it resolved, by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of rt. Prospect
Illinois that the following Intersection Northwest Highway S.B.I.
Rte 19 & rain St., S.A.Rte 13 be improved under the motor Fuel
JO Tax Law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,
1. Thet the proposed improvement consist of replacing the
W obsolete traffic control signals with modern 2 -way adjustable
traffic control signals and a control box which can be synchro-
nized with a proposed crossing protection improvement to be built
by the County of Cook and shall be designated as Section 2 C.S.
2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of Two Thousand
Dollars for the improvement of said section from the municipality's
allotment of rotor Fuel Tax funds.
3. That said work shall be done by Contract, and
BE IT FURTH'E'R RESOLVED, that the Clerk is hereby directed to trnsamit
two certified copies of this resolution to the Department of Public
Works and. Buildings, Division of Highways, through its District
Engineer's office at Chicago Illinois.

It was moved by Trustee `Mille, seconded by Trustee Greinke, that
the matter of Gates on E St., and Chicago -& Northwestern RR.,
be taken up before the Illinois Commerce Commission.
Motion Carried.-
The minuts of the previous meeting were then read and it was moved
by Trustee Haberkamp seconded by Trustee Greinke that same be
accepted with the following change: In the adjourned meeting on the
tenth day of June in answer to Er. Ahmer's third question' How the
present Attorney could defend the Village in case of Banker's Life
Insurance against the Village of Et. Prospect by Markman,Donovan,
and Sullivan, he being an Associate of that firm, the Village
Attorney stated that he had never filed his appearance and that the
Board would have to employ sone' other attorney in that matter.

Taxes for the Fiscal Year beginning May 1st, 1942, and ., °

seconded by Trustee Haas that same be accepted as prepared.

An Ordinance prepared and presented designating members of the
Board of Trustees of the Village of 1 t. Prospect, Illinois,
�a/ who shall with the Pr. esident and Superitendent of Streets, '
constitute, the Board of Local Improvements of Said Village. tf`' - '
It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trustee ':Ville,
that this Ordinance be accented as prepared.

It was moved by Trustee Hebrkamp, seconded by Trustee Greinke,
that the building gommitte be authorized to remodel Fire Station
the sum not to exceed Four Hundred Pifty Dollars.

In connection of the above two bids were submitted. One from
Yr. Wm. D. Schott for One Hundred Twenty Six Dollars, the other
from I,Tr. Arnil Snorleader for Two Hundred Pifty Seven Dollars,
both of these were referred to the Finance Committe.
A letter from T r. Albert L. T oderick in for of a proposal,
for a more satisfactory procedure in determining the current
condition of records etc., was read and referred to the T'inance
Committe.
A letter from I:r. Edmund I'. Cleven regarding weeds was read
and referred to the proper Committe.
The Village rle °k brought to the attention of the Board that he
has been following the custom of his predecessor, that is in the
sale of Vehicle,dog, and other licenses on the premises of
his retail establishment. Since his election the Village safe
has been transferred to the Village Hall, and there being no
suitable place for the safe keeping of this Village property
on his own premises, he would like to know if it will be
agreeable to the Board that he make arrangements to handle,
sell and keep this Village property in the Village Hall proper.
And that he be permitted to make his own arrangements with • 1 1 '
Fred G. 'Ville Treasurer with no change in set up as far as
the responsibilities. In other words the Village Clerk
himself will be responsible for this particular Village -
property. The Fatter was referred to the Finance Committe .
There being further business to bring before this meeting
it was moved by Trustee H as, seconded by Trustee Greinke
that same be adjourned.
Motion carried.
