MINUTES OF CONTINUATION OF AN
ADJOURNED MEETING OF SEPTEMBER
EIGHT HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL
AT MT.PROSPECT TTJ4INOIS BY THE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
ON THE '1'Wii 1TY SECOND DAY OF
SEPTEMBER a.d. 1942.
President Besander called the meeting to order, the roll being
called the following Trustees were found to be present:
Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille.
r" The reading of the minute and the approval of bills were
at this time dispensed..
A letter from the Village Attorney, expressing his regrets
at not being able to attend this meeting was read and placed
on file.
Mr. James Walsh submitted a report on the Garbage situation
which was later affirmed by Trustee Haberkamp on his arrival.
The Village Clerk then read the contract between this Village
and the City of Des Plaines in reference to the disposal of
Garbage in Des Plaines Incinerator.
W It was moved by Trustee Mortimer, seconded by Trustee Greinke
that the contract be signed for a period of Three Years
Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer, Wille.

A suggestion was made that a charge of $ 12.50 be made instead
of $ 10.00 as a deposit for meters due to the increase'in price.
Also that a charge of $ 1.00 be imposed on those whose request
for the inspection of meters if found to be accurate.
It was suggested that Dr. Piszek the newly appointed Health
Officer of Mt. Prospect be invited to attend our next Board

meeting.
President Besander stated that he would call on Mr. Kaplan to
put up a pulley light on the water tower to clear up the .hazard
of flying done here at night, a serious condition without a
light on the tower.
A price submitted for insulating the water tower seemed out
of proportion and further bids will be looked for.
A report by Mr. James Walsh states that many of the vacant
propert owners are paying up their back taxes.
The following resolution was submitted by Trustee Mortimer:
WHEREAS, There exists a practice of settling back taxes
by petitioning the States Attorney of Cook County to accept a
percentage of the amount due as full payment and
WHEREAS The Village of Mt. Prospect has prepared budgets
01" anticipating a certain amount of money which under these cir-
cumstances are not collectable in full
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board be notified of
such request before action is taken.
A motion made by Trustee Mortimer seconded by Trustee Haberkamp
that this resolution be accepted.
Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp. LeMay, Mortimer, Wille.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
There being no further buisineas to bring before this meeting
it was moved by Trustee Mortimer, seconded by Trustee Greinke
that same be adjourned.
Motion carried.
