HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/22/1943 VB minutes 361) MINUTES OF A RECESSED MEETING HELD BY THE PRESIDENT & BOARD OF TRUSTEES 0 IN THE VILLAGE HALL,VILLAGE OP PROSPECTILL. ON JUNE 22nd,1943 at 8:00 0 "CLOCK P.M. The meeting was called to order by the president. Due to the absence of the Village Clerk, the President appointed Fred G. Ville as acting clerk. The roll being called the following Trustees were found to be present. Greinke ,Haas,Kirchhoff,Mott,Wax,Wilie. It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Haas that the following resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mt. Prospect: First.That the salary of the Chief of Police of the Village of Mt. Prospect for the fiscal year May 1,1943 to April 30th, 1944 shall be Two Hundred Dollars(200.00) per month. Second.That the Chief of Police shall be paid as addi- tional compensation for all extra. services performed nece- ssary for the duration of the war because of the lack of officers on the Police Force, an additional sum of Fifteen Dollars(15,00)per month.The payment of this latter sum may be changed or suspended at any time by the Board of Trustees. Ayes: Greinke, Haa,Kirchhoff,Mott,Wax,Wille_No Nayes.Carried. It was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Haas that the following resolution be adopted. BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board Of Trustees of the Village of Mt. Prospect: First that the salary of the Police Officer of the Village of Mt. Prospect for the fiscal year May 1st, 1943 to April 30th, 1944 shall be One Hundred Fifty Dollars (150200)per month. Second. That the Police Officer shall be paid as addi- tional compensation for all extra services performed ne- cessary for the duration of War because of the lack of Officers on Police Force, an additional sum of Twenty Dollars(20000)per month. The payment of this latter sum may be changed or suspended at any time by the Board of Trustees. Ayes. Greinke ,Haas,Kirchhoff,Mott,Wax,Wille. No Nayes Carried. 370 It was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Greinke, that the salaries of the following Village Employees be s shown as below for the term of July let, 1943 to April 30 1944, Wm. C. Mulso 185,00 per month. Fred G. Willa 200.00 per month. Edwin Greinke 140.00 per month. Ayes: Greinke ,Haas,Kirchhoff,Mott,Wax,Wille No Nayes:Carried. It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Greinke, that the revised platt for Lonnquist Gardens be referred to the Planning Commission for further investigation and recommen- wi,, dation and to report their findings at the next regular Board Meeting July 6th, 1943, Motion Carried. It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee { Haas, that An Ordinance to Ammend An Ordinance Entitled i 'An Ordinance To Establish and Maintain a Garbage System for - the Collection and Disposal of Garbage in'the Village of Mt. Prospect Passed and Approved June 10th, 1942, published June 19 1942 be adopted as read. Ayes: Greinke ,Haas,Kirchhoff,Mott,Wax,Wille. It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the following resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mt. Prospect, that all persons in the Village of Mt. Prospect refrain from using water for sprinkling lawns gardens, or in nurseries, and in Florist Greenhouses, between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm of each day during the months of June, July and Motion Carried. Upon a brief discussion the Board decided to extend an additional 15 day Military Vacation with pay of $ '70.00 to Edwin Greinke, who is scheduled to enter Military Service on June 28th, 1943. __ After considerable discussion pertaining to the road condition on North Willa Street, in the 400 Block, it was again referred to the Street & Sidewalk Committe for further investigation. There being no further business to come before this meeting, the same was adjourned upon a motion mix duly made by Trustee Haas, and seconded by Trustee Mott. , • r c.
