HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/16/1943 VB minutes • MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE 0. 9 5 PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON THE 16TH DAY OF DECEMBER,1943 A.D. President Besander called the meeting to order at 8 :15 P.M. and on calling the roll, the following Trustees were found to be present: Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax, and Wille. Trustees Greinke and Haas were absent. The Clerk read the President's call for the meeting, which was as follows: December 13, 1943 "Mr. Roy E. Schlemmer, _Village Clerk, Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois Dear Sir: In accordance with the authority vested in me by law, as President of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, I hereby call a special meeting of the Board of Trustee to be held at the Village Hall on December 16, 1943, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of: 1st. Consideration of the passage of an ordinance creating a zoning commission of the Village of Mount Prospect; ••r 2nd. Upon passage of said ordinance the appointment of five members of the zoning commission and the appointment of one of the members as chairman; and Also for the transaction of any and all business relating thereto or necessary in connection therewith. I hereby authorize and instruct you to give due notice of said meeting to the Board of Trustees of this Village. i6, (Signed) I. E. Besander President, Board of Trustees'' The Village Clerk made further proof of notice of said meeting to all members of the Board of Trustees. Trustee Mott of the Judiciary Committee presented to the :Board an Ord- inance entitled "Ordinance creating a Zoning Commission of the Village ,% of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois" After the reading of the Ordinance by the Clerk, it was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee 'Wax that the above Ordinance be passed. The motion was passed by the following vote: Ayes: Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes. President Besander recommended, William Mortimer - Chairman, John Kob, Vaughn Bacon, Kermit Le May and Norman Falkanger to serve as members of the Zoning Commission until May 15, 1944. It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Wille that the Board concur in the appointments. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Ville that the Clerk be authorized to have a notice of Public Hearing for the proposed amendments to the present zoning ordinance, published in the Mount Pros- e pect Herald as provided in the "Ordinance Creating a `Zoning Commission ". Ayes: Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and - Mille. No nayes. There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the meeting be adjourned.
