HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES ON TUESDAY, APRIL 4th, 1944.
President Besander called the meeting to order at 8::22 P.M., and upon calling
of the roll, the following Trustees were found to be present: Haas, Kirchhoff,
Mott, Wax and Wille. Trustee Greinke was absent.
The minutes of the March 7th, 1944 meeting were read, and upon motion by
Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Mott, they were accepted as read. Motion
carried.

It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee Wille that the
- Treasurer's report be accepted as read. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax
and Wille. No nayes.
It was moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Wax that the special
.assessment report be placed on file. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the
Village Clerk advise the Federal Housing Administration that Memory Lane
a rock improved street within the Village of Mt. Prospect, has.been main-
tained and graded for drainage by the Village. Motion carried.
Trustee Mott of the Judiciary Committee read the following letter:
Mr. Fred Wille
Village Treasurer
Mount Prospect, Illinois
Dear Sir:
For the purpose of guaranteeing payment of any unpaid taxes
which may be due on my property disconnected from the Village of Mount
Prospect I hereby deposit with you the sum of $100.00. You are directea
and authorized to pay this sum to the County Collector of Cook County in
payment of any taxes levied and unpaid on my property described as follows:
That part of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 34, Township
42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, lying westerly of the center
line of Ran? Road, in Cook County, Illinois,
and containing 18.37 acres, moxeor less.
In the event that the above sum is not sufficient to pay the
[:: taxes levied against my property, then I shall deposit with you enough
money to pay such taxes in full. However, should the above sum be more
than required to pay said taxes then the balance is to be refunded to me.

Trustee Mott then requested the Clerk to read an ordinance entitled:
"'AN ORDINANCE TO DISCONNECT THAT PART OF THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER , OF THE NORTHEAST t,UARTER OF
SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST
OF THE 3RD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, LYING EASTERLY
OF THE CENTER LINE OF RAND ROAD, IN COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, BEING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS."
It was moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Mott that the above
ordinance be passed. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.

It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the bills
be approved for payment as read. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille.
No nayes.
Trustee Wille of the Building Committee reported that in accordance with the
Mount Prospect Building Code, no refund could be made on building permits
issued to Mr. Harry E. Turk. +�
It was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Wille that an ordinance
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE
_AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE
TO REVISE AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE REGULATION ANDMANAGEMENT OF THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND
REGUL4TIQNS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF WATER CONSUMERS AND
OTHERS, AND REGULATING CONNECTIONS WITH SAID SYSTEM AND
ESTABLISHING RATES IUD CHARGES AND LICENSE FEES FOR PLUMB-
ERS. ' "
be passed. After - reading, the aboveordinance: was passed by the following
vote. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
A letter from the American Decalcomania Co. was read allowing a discount
of 15(6 on their bill for vehicle tags due to imperfections. Also, a letter
ffom the Columbia Casualty Co. reinstating Workmen's Compensation Policy
QnY «177811, and a letter from Michael J. Flynn, County Clerk, advising the
Village Board that the Village Hall had been selected as a polling place
for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, April 11, 1944, and on
Tuesday, November 7, 1944.
It was moved by Trustee Haas,seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that in order to
more equalbly distribute insurance of the Village, the Fire, Theft, Public
Liability and Property Damage insurance on motor equipment and the fire and
extended coverage on the Village Hall and contents be placed with George L.
Busse. Also, that the Bond Premium for the Village President and Clerk be
placed with William Busse Jr. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille.
No Nayes.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Haas that this meeting
be recessed until Tuesday , April 18th, so that other business not brought
before this meeting may be acted upon. Motion carried.
