MINUTES_ OF A REGULAR MEETING HELD IN
THE VILLAGE HALL,ML. PROSPECT, ILLINOIS,
BY THE:PRESIDENT.AND BOARD.OF TRUSTEES,,
ON AUGUST let, 1944.
The meeting was called to order by President Besander at 8:15 P.II:., ana
upon calling of the roll, the following Trustees were found to be prese-°.t:
Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax,. and :Wills.

It wax moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Greinke that the
bills be approved for payment as read. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff,
Mott, Vax and Wille. No nayes.
Mr. Lewis of Consoer, Townsend and Associates, conferred with the
[:: board in completing the priority list for the proposed new well.
Mr. Lewis assured the board this list would be filed with the War
Production Board immediately. •
Mr. 0. S. Johnson reauested information as to what was being done
in regard to the misapplication of special assessment funds by the
former village treasurer. mr. Johnson was informed that the case was
in the hands of the village attorney.
It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wille that
the Board of Trustees request the village attorney, Mr. Henry 0. Nickel
to take ammediate action in the prosecution of the Superior Court case
of the Village of Mount Prospect, versus Christian D. Busse, et al.
Motion carried.
A group of citizens protested the disconnection of the Mt. Prospect
Country Club from the Village. It was their opinon that this move would
vitally affect ,not only those near the club, but the entire village.
LA/ Trustee Mott explained that no action could be taken at this meeting, as
Mr. Wilson's petition would have to lay over 30 days and would be taken
up at the next meeting.
Mr. Wolf inquired as to what type of paving would be acceptable for
the paving of Russell St. from Gregory to Memory Lane. Trustee Wax
recommended that Mr. Wolf submit a proposal for paving of said street,
for consideration at the next meeting.
It was moved by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Trustee Wille that
in accordance with the amended water ordinance, the $5.00 deposit be
refunded to the following citizens:
Waldo Hamm, Joseph Landauer, Oscar Olson, W. 0. Peterson, George
Piepenbrink, H. A. Schumann,and Fred K. Winter.
Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
An ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF 1944 ANTICIPATION
WARRANTS OF THE VILLAGE; OF MOUNT PROSFECT,IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
was then read.
It was moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that
the ordinance be passed. Ayes: Greinke,Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott Wax and
Wille. No nayes.

The following appointments were then read:
To the Honorable Board of Trustees,
of the Village of Mt. Prospect, I11.
Gentlemen : -
By virtue of the authority conferred upon me by ordinance,
I hereby reappoint the following Plan Commission, replacing the
previous terms for which they were appointed and respectfully ask
your concurrence therein.

It was moved by Trustee 'fax, seconded by Trustee Haas that the Board
approve the appointments. Motion carried.
A letter received from Mr. Carl L. Latham, attorney, was referred to
the Judiciary Committee.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Wille that 750 N
Vehicle tags for 1945 be purchased from the S. G. Adams Co. Ayes: Greinke,
Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that
the Mount Prospect State Bank and the First National Bank of,Chicago, con -
tinue as depositories for the funds of Fred G. Wille, Village Treasurer and
collector. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was
moved by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee Wille that the meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried.
