MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
PRESIDENT All BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELL
IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 25th. DAY OF AUGUST,
1944 A. D.
The meeting was called to order by President Besander at 8:35 P.M., and
upon calling of the roll the following Trustees were found to be present:
Greinke, Haas, Mott, Wax and '.Ville. Trustee Kirchhoff was absent.
The clerk then read the following letter:
,Mr.R oy E. Schlemmer, Village Clerk,
Mount Prospect, Illinois.
Dear Mr. Schlemmer: -
Will you kindly call a special meeting of all of the members
of the Mt. Prospect Village Board for 8 P.M. Friday, August 25th, 1944
at the Village Hall, Mt. Prospect, I11.
This meeting is called for the purpose of discussing the
'financing of the new water well and other matters that may be brought
up at that time.

Various matters were discussed in regard to financing an adequate water
supply for the village.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott and Seconded by Trustee Wax that the
following resolution be passed:
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has considered the different sources
for adequate supply of water for the Village of Mount Prospect,and,
.WHEREAS, the Board, after considering the feasibility of obtaining
Lake Michigan water, found that due to restrictions imposed by the
Aar and that the cost would be prohibitive, and,
f►.J WHEREAS, it is deemed to be for the best interest of the Village, there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect, Illinois, that construction of a deep well and the issuance
of Water Revenue Bonds be approved as the most economical at this time.
ayes; Greinke, Haas, Mott, Wax and W'ille. No Nays.
Ii was moved by Trustee Sax, seconded by Trustee kYille that the Village
Attorney contact the bond holders of the present Water Revenue Bonds in
regard to Section 14, of the original Ordinance ;171, passed November 7th.,
1954, so that the requirements of that section will be waved to permit a
new issue of Water Revenue Bonds. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wille that the Water
Committee be authorized to consult with the engineers in determining the size
Plum‘ authorize casing of a well to produce the maximum amount of water and that they
authorize the engineers to procede with plans and specifications.
Ayes; =Haas, Mott, Wax and Wille. Nonayes.
There being no further business to come before this special meetinb, it
was ,oved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wax that the meeting be
adjoured. .Motion carried.
