PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD
IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 14th DAY OF SEPTEMBER,
1944 A.D.
The meeting was called to order by President Besander at 8:20 P.M. and
upon calling of the roll, the following trustees responded: Haas, Kirchhoff,
Mott, Wax and Wille. Trustee Greinke was absent.
The following letter was then read by the Clerk:
Mr. Roy E. chlemrner, Village Clerk,
Mt. Prospect, I11.
Dear Mr. Schlemmer: -
..n Will you kindly call a Special Meeting of the Village
Board of Trustees, for 8 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 140, 1944, at the
Village Hall, Mt. Prospect, I11.
This meeting is being called for the purpose of pass-
ing an Ordinance permitting the Village b issue a Bond Issue to
cover the cost of a new well, and also several other matters
carried over from the previous board meeting.

Trustee Mott read the Judiciary Committee's report on the petition of
Stella Willson for disconnecting Lot 18 of the Northwest Hills Country Club
Subdivision from the Village. The summary being that the Board of Trustees had
no authority to disconnect this property from the Village. The report and a
w, petition signed by 126 citizens of Mt. Prospect objecting to the disconnection
was turned over,Ehe Clerk, for filing.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Haas that the
Judiciary Committee's report be accepted as read and that in as much as the
Village Board has no authority to disconnect this Lot, the petition be denied.
Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
Trustee Wax then reported on the plans and specifications of the new
well and presented a copy of the following letter to be read:

Chief Sanitary Engineer .
State Department of Health
Springfield, Illinois
Dear Mr. Downer:
Re; New well and pumping station
for Mt. Prospect, Illinois!,
The Village of Mt. Prospect has authorized us to
prepare plans and specifications for a new well at Pine Street.
They already have a WPB approval of this project and expect to
award a contract within the nexttwo weeks.
A copy of the plans and specifications for this new
well are enclosed herewith. It will be very much appreciated
if you will review these documents at your earliest convenience,
and approve the project.
If there are any gyestions in your mind we will be
glad to give you any further information desired.

A motion was made by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Wille that the
above letter be placed on file with the records of the new well. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee Wax that a permit
be issued to the Lake Shore Sugar Co. to erect their portable loading qquipment,
similar to that used in previous years, provided they pay the permit fee of
$10.00. Motion carried.

It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Haas that the
Woman's Auxiliary of the American Legion be given permission to use the old
bank building for their rummage sale on Saturday, October 28, 1944. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Wille that
this meeting be posponed until Thursday, September 21st, 1914 in order to
dispose of unfinished business. Motion carried.
