IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT MOUNT PROS&
PECT, ILLINOIS, BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON THE 3tw
DAY OF OCTOBER, 1944.
The meeting was called to order by President besander gat.. 8:20 P.M. The
roll being called the following Truateea were found tube present: Hams,
Kirchhoff, Mott, wax- and .wille. Truetee Greinke was absent.
The minuted of the regular of September 5th, the special meeting
of September 14th, and the postponed meeting of September 21st; were read. it
was moved by Trustee wax and seconded-by Trustee Mott that the minutes be
accepted as read. Motion carried.

It was moved by Trustee wax, seconded by Trustee will. that the Treasurer's
report be accepted as read. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax and +Mille.

A motion was made by Trustee wille and seconded by Trustee Haas, that
the speciwl assessment report be placed on file. Motion carried.

It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee wax that the bills be
approved for payment as read. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Mille.
The Clerk informed the Board he had received five proposals from Bond 4 3
Companies in regard to financing the construction of the new.ell. It was
moved by Trustee Haaa, and seconded by Trustee wax that the, five proposals be
numbered consecutively and that they be opened and read by the Clerk, Motion
carried.
All proposals were then read and after consideration by the Board, it was
moved by Trustee Mott ^nd seconded by Trustee Haas that the proposal submitted
by !fie Deuell & Company be accepted. Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and
Will,. . No nayes.
President Beaander announced the acceptance of the proposal and extended
the Board's thanks and appreciation to all representatives of Bond Company's
Present. the.
Mr, m. Hagberg, representing the Parent - Teachers Assn., requested that
steps be taken to insure av:akating pond during the winter. Due to the short -
age of help, the Board suggested that if the P.T.A. would volunteer to help
with manual labor, the Village would cooperate with them in preparing and
maintaining the pond.
A motion we made by Trustee wax and seconded by Trustee Haas the t the
Mount Prospect State Bank, and the rirat National Bank of Chicago continue as
depositories for the funds of Fred G. wills, Village Treasurer rnd Collector.
Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes,
The following letter received by the Clerk was then read:
Dear Sir:
�*! Pleased be advised that the County Clerk will
conduct a registration of voters in your place on lea-
day, Ocmober 10, 1944.
The hours of registration on that date, will
be from 6 A. M. to 9 P. M.
You will oblige by having the place of re-
gistration open, properly lighted and furnished,

awe Trustee wax reported that Mr. L. G. Johnson, President of the School
Board, had withdrawn his request for free water for the Public School.
It was moved by Trustee wax, seconded by Trustee Wille, that in accord-
ance with the amended water ordinance, the *5.00 deposit be refunded to the
following citizens:

Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax F.nd Wille. No nayes,
A motion was made by Trustee Haaa end seconded by Trustee wills that
the Ladies Aid of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church be given permission to use
the old bank building for their rummage sale on Saturday, October 14, 1944.
Motion carried.
it was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the
Mount Prospect woman's Club be given permission to use the old bank build-
ing for a clothing exchange, beginning November lst, provided they assume
all liability in connection therewith and pay for any heat or light neceaeary.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee wax and aeconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that
the Board approve the expenditure of 041.00 for serving principles in the
VIM case of the Village of Mount Prospect, versus Christian D. Busse, et al.
Ayes: Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott wax and wills. No nayes.

There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was
moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee wills that the meeting be
adjourned. Motion carried.
