PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES,HELD
IN: THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 1ST. DAY OF NOVEMBER,
1944 A. D.
The meeting was called to order by President Besander at8:00 P. M. The
roll being called the following Trustees responded: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff,
Mott, Wax and Dille.
The following notice was then read:
To: THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MT. PROSPECT, ILLINOIS.
NOTICE is hereby given thet a special meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, will be held at the Village
Hall, Mt. Prospect, Illinois Wednesday, November 1, 1944, at 8 o'clock
p. m. to consider and take action upon the following matters
(1) To consider for approval the plans and specifications
for the construction of a new well to provide an
additional water supply, said well to be constructed
on Pine Street, near the center of the village, ad-
jacent to the .existing reservoir, said well to tap
the sandstone formation at approximately 1,500 feet;
and the installation of a well pump of deep well
turbine type, electrically driven, with necessary
controls; and the connection of said well with the
existing waterworks system; and estimated cost.
(2) To consider the adoption of an ordinance authorizing
and providing for the issuance of *27,000 water
Revenue Bonds for the purpose of defraying the cost
of improving and extending the present waterworks
system of the Village.
(3) Such other and further matters in any way related to
or connected, with the foregoing as may be brought
before the-said meeting.

It was moved by Trustee Mott, seconded by Trustee wille that the above
notice be made a part of the minutes. Motion carried,
trustee Greinke reported favorably on the plans and specifications
of the new well. Trustee sax suggested, that in order to clarify certain
methods and coat of construction, the Clerk read the advertisement for bids,
contracts and specifications to the Board and it was so ordered by the
President.
After consideration and discussion by the Board, it was moved by
Trustee Greinke and seconded by trustee wax, that the plans and specifica-
tions for the construction of a new well to provide an'additional water
supply, said well to be constructed on Pine Street near the center of the
village adjacent to the existing reservoir, said well to tap the sandstone
formation at approximately 1,500 feet; and the installation of a well pump
of deep well turbine type, electrically driven, with necessary controls;
and the connection of said well with the existing waterworks system; and
estimated cost, be approved. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax
and eille. No nayes.
It was moved by.Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee Haas, that the
plans end specifications of the new well be filed by the Village Clerk for
public inspection. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax and Wille.
No neyea.
The Clerk then read:
"AN ORDINANCE authorizing and providing for the issue of
$27,000. Water Revenue Bonds, aeries of 1944, of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose
of defraying the coats of improving and extending the present
water works - System of said Village, and providing for the 7
collection, aegregation and distribution of the revenue of
the water works system of said village for the purpose of
paying the cost of operation and the maintenance thereof,
providing an adequate depreciation fund therefore, and pay-
ing the principal and interest of said Water Revenue Bonds.
It was moved by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee wille that the fore- 435
going ordinance be passed. Ayes: Greinke, Haas , Kirchhoff, Mott, wax and wills
No nayea.
A motion was made by Trustee wax and seconded: by Trustee Greinke that
the Village Clerk be authorized to publish the advertisements for bids on the
new well in the Mount Prospect Herald. Ayes: Greinke, Haas,. Kirchhoff, Mott,
wax and Mille. No Hayes.
it was moved by Trustee-Wax, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff, that due to
the National election being held on November 7th, 1944, the regular monthly
meeting of the board of Trustees be held on November 8th, 1944. Ayes: Greinke,
Haas, Kirchhoff, Mott, wax and Wille. No nayes.

moved by Trustee Kirchhoff end seconded by Trustee Haas that the meeting be
tom. adjourned. Motion carried.
