PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD
IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 6TH DAY OF FEBRUARY,
1945 A.D.
President Besander called the meeting to order at 8 :20 P.M. After
calling the roll, the following trustees were found to be present: Greinke,
Kirchhoff, Mott and Wax. Trustees Haas and sille were absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Jan. 2nd were read and it was
moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Mott that they be accepted as
read. _ Motion carried.

the Treasurer's report be accepted as read. Ayes: Greinke, Kirchhoff,

A motion was made by Trustee Mott and seconded by 'trustee Wax that the
bills be approved for payment es read. Ayes: Greinke, Kirchhoff, Mott,
and Wax. No nayes.
Mr. Philip K. Jeuck representing the Illinois Range uo. requested
that the Board issue a temporary building permit in lieu of completed
plans for their new building. President besander referred the request
to the building committee for consideration.
It was moved by Trustee flax, seconded by 'Trustee Greinke that the 44(1
Mount Prospect Mate Bank and the First National Bank of Chicago continue
as depositories for the funds of Fred G. Wille, Village Treasurer -
Collector. Ayeq: Greinke, Kirchhoff, Mott, and flax. No nayes.
It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Ureinke that the
Board,authorize the sale of the old pump house oil heater to Mr. Fred
Meeske for the sum of #30.00. Greinke, Kirchhoff, Mott and Wax.
No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by Trustee Greinke, that
Chief of Police, Geo. whittenberg, be authorized to purchase a new and im-
proved aerial for the police car radio. Ayes: Greinke, Kirchhoff, Mott
and Nax. No nayes.
^^* It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by 'trustee Mott that the
Police Committee prepare and purchase a police courtesy card as outlined
by Chief Whittenberg. Ayes: Greinke, Kirchhoff, Mott and wax. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Ureinke, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff,
that in accordance with the amended water ordinance, the 15.00 deposit
be refunded to the following citizens:

It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Mott that the
Village purchase 250 dog license tags. Ayes: Ureinke, Kirchhoff, Mott
and Wax. No nayes.
A letter received from the Chicago Federation of Aged and Adult
Charities was read, requesting permission to hold their Annual Tag Lay
in Mount Prospect on May 14th, 1945. A motion was made by Trustee Wax
and seconded by Trustee Ureinke that the request be granted. Motion
carried.
The Clerk then read a report of the Judiciary Committee in regard
to delinquent special assessments; also, a letter of opinion by Henry O.
Nickel, Village Attorney, dated Feb. 5th, 1945. Comments and opinions
from the audience were heard. Considerable discussion followed, and as
no decision could be reached, the Board continued with unfinished business.
An ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 OF
ORDINANCE KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF MOUNT PROSPECT, PASSED AND APPROVED
ON THE 2ND DAY OF MAY, 1944."
was read,& it was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff
that said ° ordinance be passed. Ayes: Ureinke, Kirchhoff, Mott and
Wax. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Greinke
that the Clerk call an election for the purpose of electing a President,
Clerk, three Trustees, and a Police Magistrate, and that said election
be held on April 17th, 1945. Motion carried,
It was moved by Trustee Mott, seconded by Trustee Wax that the

SALE OF 1944 TAX ANTICIPATION WARRANTS
WHEREAS, Barcus, Kindred & Co. and snyart, Van Camp & uo. Inc. has
agreed to purchase not mare than i#14,000.00 of 1944 general
corporate fund tax anticipation warrants bearing interest at
the rate of One and Five - eighth percent 1.1 -5/8+) and to pay for
said warrants par, plus premium of Fifty Cents (.50) per if1,000.00
tax warrant and accrued interest from August 15, 1944;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Beard of Trustees
of the Village of Mount Prospect that the sale to Barcus, Kindred,
& Co. and Enyart, Van Camp & Co., Inc. of #3,000.00 of 1944
general corporate fund tax anticipation warrants, being numbered
C -15 to C -20 inclusive, bearing interest at the rate of One and
Five- eighth percent (1- 5/87.) at par and accrued interest from
450 AID BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that delivery of said tax anti-
cipation warrants be made pursuant to the terms of
an ordinance entitled "An ordinance providing for
the issuance of 1944 tax anticipation warrants of
the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,"
passed and approved on the first day of August A.U., ..

meeting be adjourned until February 20th, 1945. Motion carried.
