PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD 459
IN THE VILLAGE HALL, Mt. PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON 2HE 1ST DAY OF MAY, 1945 A.D.
President Besander called the meeting to order of 8:15 P, M. Upon calling
of the roll, the following 'Trustees were found to be present: Greinke, Haas,
Kirchhoff, Mott, Nax - nd .Ville.
The minutes of the regular meeting; of April 3rd, and the special meeting of
April 17th, 1945 were read. It was moved by Trustee +Ville and seconded by Trustee
Wax that they be accepted as read. Motion carried.

A motion was made by 'Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Wille that the
Treasurer's report be accepted as read. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff,

A motion was made by 'trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Haas that the
bills be approved for payment as read. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Kirchhoff,
Mott, Wax and Wille. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Greinke, seconded by 'trustee Wax, that
in accordance with the amended water ordinance, the 05.00 deposit be
refunded to the following citizens:

County, Illinois, hnving charge and custody of the records and files
thereof, do hereby certify that at an election held on the 17th dLy of
April, 1945, the following named persons were duly elected to the office
set opposite their respective names and each of them has filed in my office
the oath of office reouired by law:

The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton and upon calling

it was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff that the
Committee appointments be concurred in. Motion carried.
A 1et< from the J. P. Miller Artesian Well Co.was read relative
to the new wiring specifications for the deep well pump house and re-
auesting the Board's Approval thereof.
A motion was made by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff,
that the J. P. Miller Artesian Well Co. be authorized to proceed with
the work necessary to combine the old and new pump house services at one
location, consisting of m- terial in the amount of .350.00 and labor of
#230.00, and that the Clerk notify the J. P. Miller Artesian'- Well Co. of
the Board's approval. Ayes :Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh.
No nayes.
A request by Mr. 0. S. Johnson for the removal of a tree at the
intersection of I -Oka Ave. and Council Trail was referred to the streets
�► and sidewalks committee for investigation and report at the next meeting.
It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wax that the
following resolution be passed:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and the Board of
Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
1. That the Mount Prospect State Bank of the Village 3f Mount
Prospect, Illinois, be and it is hereby designated as one of the
depositories of the funds of the Village of Mount Prospect, and
that the officers hereinafter designated are hereby authorized
to endorse in the name of the said Village, for the purpose of
deposits and collections in and with said bank, checks, drafts,
notes and other like obligations issued or drawn to and owned
by said Village; and it is further resolved that endorsement for
deposit and collection may be by written or stamped endorsement
of the said Village without designation of the party making the
endorsement.
2. That said bank be and it is hereby authorized to pay out
the funds of this Village on deposit with it from time to time
upon checks drawn upon said depository and signed in the name
of this Village by its President, M. B. Pendleton, its Village
Clerk, Roy E. Schlemmer, and its Village Treasurer, Fred G.
Wille, whether said checks are payable to cash, bearer or the
order of the said Village or to any third party or to the order
of any signing officer of the said Village or any other Village
officer in either their individual or official capacity.
Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded by Trustee Hartwig
that the Board authorize an amount not to exceed #35.00 for repairs
and rebuilding the Village Ball Park. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams,
Mott, and iNax. Nayes: Welsh.
A motion was msde by Trustee Lams and seconded by Trustee Wax
that the Surety Bond in the amount of #3,000.0Q for Maurice B. Pendleton,
President of the Village Board, and the Surety B #2,000.00 for Roy
E. Schlemmer, Village Clerk, be approved. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams,
Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
it was moved by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Trustee Lams that an
., expenditure not to exceed #50.00 be authorized for scarifying, grading,
and rolling Elmhurst Ave, from Central to Foundry Rd.,and Railroad Ave.
from Emerson Ave. to Prospect Rd. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott,
Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
There being not further business to come before this meeting,
it was moved by Trustee Welsh and seconded by Trustee Wax the meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried.
