HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/05/1945 VB minutes 464 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MT. PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, ON THE 5TH DAY OF JUNE, 1945 A.D. President Pendleton called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. The roll being called, the following Trustees responded: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, flax and Welsh. The minutes of the regular meeting of May 1st and the meeting of the newly elected President and members of the Board were read. It was thoved by Trustee Mott and seconded by 'Trustee Lams that they be accepted as read. Motion carried. The Clerk then read the following appointments: Hon. Members of the Board of Trustees, Village of Mount Prospect, Mt. Prospect, I11. ^" Gentlemen: in keeping with the authority vested in me by ordinance, 1 hereby appoint the following men to the Zoning Board of Appeal, one man to the Zoning Commission and one man to the P1 ^n Commission, nd recuest the approval of the Board in these appointments. For the Zoning Board of Appeal One year term - Mr. *m. Busse, Jr. Two year term - Mr. Victor Bittner Three " - Mr. James Brown Four " " - Mr. Emmett Kraybill rive " - Mr. *m. Mortimer Mr. 'm. Mortimer to act as Chairman of this Committee. For the Zoning Commission, i hereby appoint Mr. Stephen Kline to a five year period, which is a continuation of his one -year term on this Board. For the Plan Commission, I hereby appoint Mr. Paul Ward for a period of five years, which is also a continuation of his one- year term on this Board. No nayes. A motion was made by Trustee Max and seconded by Trustee welsh, that the President appoint a Board of Health in accordance with the Village Ordinance known as Ordinance No. 42, passed and approved on the ;rd. day of October, 1922. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff, seconded b. Trustee Lams, that the Police Committee be authorized to sell the Police Motor Gycle which is no longer being used. Motion carried. it was moved by Trustee wax and seconded by Trustee Mott, that in accordance with the amended water ordinance, the *5.00 deposit be refunded to: 0. C. Schuerger Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and welsh. No nayes. The Clerk then read the ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 1945, AND ENDING APRIL 30, 1946. It was moved by Trustee L< msnd seconded by Trustee Hartwig that the appropriation ordinance be passed. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes. The Annual Report of the Fresident of the Library Board was read and placed on file. , A request by Mr. Theodore Moehling to amend the Liquor Ordin- ance, increasing the number of taverns in the Village to four, was referred to the Judiciary Committee for investigation and report at the next meeting. There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was moved by Trustee welsh and seconded by Trustee Hartwig, that the meeting be adjourned.
