HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/27/1945 VB minutes 466 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, ON THE 27TH DAY OF JUNE , 1945 A.D. The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8:45 P.M. and upon calling the roll, the following Trustees responded: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. 0 The Clerk read the following communication from the President: June 23, 1945 Mr. Roy E. Schlemmer, Village Clerk Mt. Prospect, I11. Dear Mr. Schlemmer: Will you please call a special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees to be held at 8:30 P.M. Wednesday evening June 27th, 1945 to be held at the Village Hall, Mt. Prospect, I11. (cont.) 467 This meeting is to be called for the purpose passing upon the offer made to the Village by Chris. Busse and his Streties in the litigation now pending. Very truly yours, Signed: M. B. Pendleton M.B.Pendleton, President Village of Mt. Prospect, I11. Trustee Welsh, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, then gave an oral report on the history of action in the case of Mt. Prospect :versus Christian D..Busse and sureties. After discussion by the Board, the President asked the audience for their'comments or suggestions, and all interested:parties were heard. A motion was made by Trustee Welsh and seconded by Trustee Mott, to defer action in the offer of settlement made by the sureties and by Christian D. Busse of the case of Mt. Prospect versus Christian D. Busse, until a committee can confer with Christian D. Busse and the Trustees of the Holste Trust regarding the Christian D. Busse property. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes. It was moved by Trustee Wax and seconded by Trustee Hartwig that President Pendleton and Trustee Welsh be a committee to confer with Christian D. Busse and the Trustees of the Holste Trust. Motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by Trustee Lams that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
