MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD
IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 10TH DAY OF JULY,
1946 A.D.
The meeting was called to order by the President at 8:30 P.M.
The roll being called, the following Trustees responded: Hartwig,
Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh.
The following communication was then read:

Mt. Prospect, I11.
Dear Sir:
Please call a meeting of the Village Board of Mt. Prospect
Wednesday evening, July 10th at 8 o'clock P.M.
The purpose of this special meeting is to canvass the votes
cast on July 10th on the bond issue for a new administration
building, and for the purpose of transacting any village 0"01
business that may properly come before the Board at that time.

Village of Mt. Prospect
After the Board canvassed the votes, the following Resolution was
read:
"RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS OF THE VOTES CAST AT
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD JULY 10, 1946, NO. 23 -46.
WHEREAS, a special election was held on Wednesday, July loth, 1946
for the purpose of voting Yes or No on the Ordinance providing for the
borrowing of One Hundred Forty -five Thoughnd Dollars ($145,000.00); and
WHEREAS, The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have canvassed the votes cast at such election, as by
statute in such case made and provided, have made a finding and are
ready to dedlare the results thereof, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois:

Section 1. That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect find that 250 votes were cast at the special election
held on July 10, 1946.
Section 2. That on the following ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE providing for borrowing
money and issuing Municipal Building
Bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, in the amount
of $145,000. and providing for the
collection of a direct annual tax fr
the payment of the principal and in-
terest of said bonds;"

the following number of votes were cast:
Ballots 'Yes" 229
Ballots "No" 13
Defective Ballots 0
Spailed Ballots 8
Blank Ballots 0
Total votes cast 250
and the proposition having received more than a. majority of all of the
votes cast, the proposition is hereby declared approved.
"' It was moved by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Trustee Mott that the Resolution
be passed: Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Welsh and seconded by Trustee Wax that
the Judges and Clerks of election be paid $8.00 each. Ayes: Hartwig,
Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wax that
the Board table consideration of passing on the plat of Moehling's Pbasant-
Dale Subdivision until obtaining legal advice. Motion carried.
It was moved by Trustee Lams, seconded by Trustee Wax that the
Building Committee be instrudted to issue a building permit as requested
by Mr. Emil Nerge. Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before this meeting, it
was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee Lams that the meet -
ing be adjourned. Motion carried.
