OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE VILLAGE
HALL., MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS,
ON TUESDAY, JANUARY.14, 1947.
The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8 :00
o'clock P.M. The Clerk called the.roll with the following Trustees
responding: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh.
President Pendleton announced that before proceeding with the
meeting, he wished to present a certificate of retirement award to
Mr, William C. Mulso in recognition of his loyal service as a member
of the Mt. Prospect Volunteer Fire Department.
After the presentation, the Clerk read the following communica-
tion:

Dear Mr. Schlemmer:
Will you please call a special meeting of the
Village Board of Trustees to be held at 8:00
o'clock P.M. Tuesday. January 14, 1947 at the
Village Hall, Mount Prospect, Illinois.
This meeting is called for the purpose of
opening and considering bids for the con -
-`� struction of the new municipal building and
for any other business that may properly
come before the Board.

The President then instructed the Clerk to open and read all bids
received. The Clerk opened and read the following bids:

After /reading and tabulating/all bids, the President declared
the meeting in recess for general discussion at 8:45 P.M.
The President recalled the meeting to order at 9:00 P.M. The
motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by Lams that all bids be
rejected. The President put the question and the Clerk called the
roll with the following result: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried and all bids submitted for
construction of the new municipal building rejected.
The Clerk then read: "RESOLUTION NO. 2 -47; APPROVING APPLICATION
AND REQUESTING AN ALLOTMENT OF $2,880.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING
A PORTION OF THE COST OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ADMINISi.
TRATION BUILDING UNDER STATE SENATE BILL 303 The motion was made
by Trustee Mott and seconded by Wax that the resolution be adopted.
The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following result: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President
declared the motion carried and said resolution adopted.
The motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Mott that the
Board concur in the recommendation of the Zoning Commission denying
the request of George L. Quilici for a reclassification of his prop-
erty from R -1 to business. The President put the question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following result: Ayes: All; Nays:
None. The President declared the motion carried and said request de-
nied.

ANresolution to foreclose the lean of special assessments and
retaining the services of special counsel to act with the Village
attorney in prosecuting said tax and special assessment foreclosure
proceedings No. 3-47' was then read. The motion was made by Trustee
Wax and seconded by Lams that the resolution be adopted. The question
was put by the President and the Clerk called the roll with the follow-
ing result: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried and said resolution adopted.
The motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Mott, that
the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation,
whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting
regularly adjourned.
