MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE VILLAGE
HALL, MT. PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, ON
TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 1947 A.D.
The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at
8:00 P.M. The Clerk called the roll and the following Trustees re-
sponded; Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott and Welsh. Trustee Wax absent.
The motion was made by Trustee Kirchhoff, and seconded by
Lame that the Board canvas the votes cast in the Village election.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation and the President declared the
motion carried.
The Board canvassed the votes with the following results:
For Village Trustees:
William T. Mott 139 votes
Robert C. Bayne.... 144 "
Clarence B. Bydal 146 "
Phillip R. Jeuck,.Jr 4 "
For Library Directors:
Ruth T. Carlson 146 votes
Meta W. Bittner .., 148 "
The motion w as made by Trustee Lame, seconded by Hartwig
that the following be declared elected :tFor Village Trustee: William
T. Mott, - Robert C. Bayne and Clarence B. Bydal. - For Library Director:
Ruth T. Carlson and Meta W. Bittner. The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following result: Ayes: All,
Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and
said citizens duly elected.
A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Welsh that
the Special Assessment report for the month of March be placed on file.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation and the President declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk read "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED IAN ORDINANCE TO LICENSE AND REGULATE CERTAIN BUSINESSES, 00-
CUPATIONS,CALLINGS AND EMPLOYMENTS AS EXPRESSED HEREIN, AND TO PROVIDE THE
TERM, THE FEE AND THE METHOD OF PROCURING AND ISSUING SUCH LICENSES, TO-
GETHER WITH THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAME ARE ISSUED AND FIXING A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCEI (ORDINANCE NO. 151) 6 . The motion was

made by Trustee Mott, and seconded by Welsh that the ordinance be passed.
The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following result: Ayes: All, Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried and said ordinance passed and approved.
The Clerk then read AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE KINDLING OF
FIRES ON PUBLIC PROPERTY AND REGULATING THE KINDLING OF FIRES ON PRIVATE
PROPERTY ". The motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Hartwig that
the ordinance be passed. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following result: Ayes: All, Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried and said ordinance passed and ap-
proved.
A "RESOLUTION FOR THE FORECLOSURE OF LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS"
No. 8-47 was then read. The motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by
Lama, that the resolution be adopted. The question was put by the President
and the Clerk called the roll with the following result: Ayes: A11, Nays:
None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and said resolution
passed and approved.
A petition requesting that the Village vacate the alleys lying
within the block bounded by Main St., Busse Ave., Central Rd. and Wills St.
was read. A motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Lame, that Mr.
Valentine Weber, surveyor, be instructed to prepare a plat of said alley
vacating and that the Village Attorney prepare the required ordinance to be
presented at the regular May meeting. The motion was voted upon by acclam-
ation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and instructions
so ordered.
The petition of Stella C. Willson for disconnecting Lot 18 of the
Northwest Hills Country Club from the Village having met the statutory re-
quirements, was referred to the Judiciary Committee for recommendation.
The motion was made by Trustee Kirchhoff, and seconded by Lama,
that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation,
whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned.
