The meet~ was cs/led to order at 8:35 P.M. by President I~.
Upon roll call, the foIlowfl~ trustees answered Present: Airey, Caster- roi1 call
~inc, Ekren, Norris and Schlavero Absent, Trustee Gaw.
Trustee Ek~en, seconded By T~ustee Norris, moved that the minutes
of the previous meet~ of ~ 24th be al~roved as scatted. The ~dnutes
President put the question, the Clerk called the ro11, w~th the fcllow~m~
response: ~Fee, Trustees A~e7, Ekren, CasterZine, Norris. Pass, Trustee
SchZaver; absent, Trustee b. Whereupon the President. declared the
motion carried.
Trustee Norris, seconded By Trustee Ekren, moved to advance
funds temporerily in the a~ount of $717.50 frc~ the General Fund to advance
the Municipal Butld~u~ Bond & Interest Fund for pa~ent of interest funds
due on bonds July 1, 1960. The President put the question, the Clerk

Trustee Schlaver, seconded By Trustee CasterZine, coved to

WehI~ Well Works P~r~tal' Pa~ea% #lO for ~ork performed on Well #6° funds

Trustee Norris rspor~ed that the Street Co, tree had ~et with
residents of North Kenilworth Avenue, who are des~oue of widenin; and Pavir~
h~provln~ the~ street; these residents state that Hr. Di ~ucc~, who North
owns considerable property on No,ch Ken~.lworth, ~s wll]~-~ to ~o alon; [e-;~worth
w~th pav~ pl$-_~. Trustee Norris, seconded by Trustee Schlaver, moved
that Consoer, Townsend & Associates, V~lla~e Engineers, prepare plans
and specifications for wideni~ the west portion of ;entlwo~th Avenue to
27 feet back of curb to back of curb, includ~.n~ installation of curb
and ~utter, frc~Central Road north to Prospect Avenuej th~s ~rovement
to be done under special assessment financin~. The President put the

Hr. John Hoover arose from the audience upon
from the President, and stated that he represented Hr. Art Van
Sign O?d~'~ce P~, who desires to erect a large electric sign above his
Art Van Datums music studio at 9~0 East NorthWest High, ay. Hr. Hoover
indicated that the Build~ Department is ~[thholding approval
because this sign will not confcrn to the ne~ Sign Ordinance
shot, fly to be adopted by the Village, but that the Architectural
Coe~ittee had approved it. The Board replied that it had heard
no word ffrom the Architectural Cosm~ittee. After further discussion,
Trustee Sohlaver, seconded by Trustee Airey, noved that ,the mutter
regard4~ the oreo%ion of a neon sign in frontoff the premises at
960 East Northwest Highwa~ be referred to the Building
for study and reoo~endatinn at the next ~eeting. This notion
carried by acclamation.
Trustee Norris~ secondgd by Trustee Airey, noved that the
~T l~S bids in connection with ~FT 1~ be ~ublished (El~hurst
Pav~8 - Highland Ave Avenue and the west and of Highland) and that these bids
and So Elmhurst Ave.. be submitted to the Board at their regular nesting cf
June 14th, 1~0 at 8~00 P.~. The President put the
question, the Clerk called the roll, with the following response:
Ayes, Trustees Ain~y, Oasterline, Ekren, Norris and Schlaver.
Absent, Trustee Gaw. l~hereupen the President declared the notion
carried.
The Board agreed that a walkway sho~d be painted along
Sidewalks Horthwest Highway on the asphalt in front of ~el and Paul's
~ Highway Restaurant and l~inke~'s Serviee Station, Central Road side also.

~r. Appleby ~entioned that residents on Ho~th Fairview
Traffic between Highland and Foundry sent a letter' asking that 15 m~h signs
signs be posted on their street, This ~atter was referred to the
Street Committee.
Hr. Appleby read a letter fron G. W. G. HeDonald, 809 South
O~Sare Field Nawata, asking for control of Jet airline noise over the Village.
Jets This letter will he referred to the' City of Chicago's Coe~ssioner
of Aviation, Hr. William Downes.
Hr. Appleby read the following letter fro~ the Lou-El~

The residents and property onners of North Louis Street and the
Lou-~- Ho~eo~ners Association of ~heeling Township wish to co,mend
the President and Board of Trustees in officially objecting to a
proposed rezoning cf property in Wheeling Township near the ~orth-
eastern Village
This action t~ok place at a Cock C~mty Zoning Hoard of Appeals
hear~8 held on ~h~ 28, 19~0 at Arlington Heights.
The prestige of the Village of ~t. Prospect added mater~-~y to the
objections of the homeowners directly affected. Hr. Appleby ably
represented the Village of ~t. Prospect.
The interest and concern the Village displayed toward the property
owners of the iweaediate area is appreciated. It is reassuring Zo
k~ow that the Village is aware of conditions i~ its vicinity which
weald affect the whole com~,~ty.

~r. Appleby stated that the o~ections of the Village have
been officially filed with the Count~ Clerk.
~r. R~mond Wilier, $11 ~acArthur Drive, arose to question Paving -
the permanency of the anticipated street i~rove~ent in Northwest N~rthwest
~eadows Subdivision. Hr. Cadigan of Consoer, ?ownsend replied that ~ead~s
he disagreed with Mr. Willerts charges and would be glad to meet
with Hr. lgiller at the site the next morning to go over the intended
improvements.
Trustee Airey, seconded By Trustee Casterltne, moved that
the Board authorize the architect, Raymond Petereon, to prepare Fire Station
prel~mdnary pla~ and alternate plans for e~largeme~t of the Fire
Station to be located on our present property. The President put
the question, the Clerk called the roll, with the fullc~ing reeponse~
Ayes, Trustees Airey, Oasterline, Ekren, Norris and Schlaver; absent,
Gaw. l~hereupon the President declared the motio~ carried.
