Trustee Ekren~ seconded by Trustee Bickley, moved for the Ord. #890 passage of Ord. #890: Zoning Case 62-25 · AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY LOCATED AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CENTRAL ROAD AND PINE STREET This refers to Zoning Case 62-25. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Casterline Ekren' Gaw Phillips Motion carried.' ' Zoning Case Trustee Ekren gave~ over Zoning Case 62-36 to Attorney Hofert 62-36 for study and recommendation. Parking lot Trustee Ekren, seconded by Trustee Bickley~ moved that the Main g Village President be authorized to enter into a purchase contract to Busse - acquire property for a parking facility at the southwest corner of Village Main and Busse Streets for the price of $22,500, the funds to be property provided from parking revenue funds. Attorney Hofert explained that there are two lots, one is 50 x 59', the other is 26 x 59'. Our offer is for the larger lot, which~was appraised by Raymond Wright at a low figure of $18,000; however, contract existed between'the owner and Mc Cabe Realty for its purchase by McCabe for $20,000, signed in August of 1962. Mc Cabe Realty had then appealed.to the Zoning Board.for variation to erect a building on the entire lot, with no provision for parking, which was denied. The Merchants Association offered to purchase and blacktop the smaller lot and present it to the Village to be used for parking. Mc Cabe Realty then offered to sell the larger lot to the Village'f0r $22,500. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. January 15, 1963 Trustee Ekren, seconded by Trustee Bickley, moved to advance Transfer of temporarily $4,500 from the Water Deposit Fund to the Parking Revenue funds Fund. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Trustee Ekren, seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved that our Finance Dept. Village Engineers be authorized to prepare a 25-year projection of Water Revenue water revenues and expenses. This projection is to include the revenues projection of the Cook County Water Corp., said engineers to work in conjunction with Paul Speer, financial consultant, and Village Finance Director. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Trustee Phillips and Ekren reported that meeting was held with Land exchange Mr. Di Mucci regarding parcel of land in Centralwood Subdivision on Centralwood Kenilworth at Prospect; this land will be given to the Village and then Sub turned over to the Park District for a Kiddie Park. Trustee Phillips read letters of gratitude to the Fire Department Fire for their efforts from Oasis Outdoor Ltd., fire in projection booth; Dept. from Moderator of South Church re fatal heart attack of Mrs. Stevens, minister's wife; from Marry Soderstrom for emergency action on his behalf in October; from Mrs. Peter Tsolinas for help to her mother. Trustee Phillips also announced that the annual Volunteer Firemen's Ball will be held on January 26th at Randhurst this year. Trustee Bickley announced that County Sheriff Ogilvie and his Police Dept chief will hold Police School at this Village next Monday; also that the FBI has established a curriculum and school will be held, complete with final examinations, at this Village for all interest Police force members in neighboring communities, beginning in February. Trustee Bickley, seconded by Trustee Ekren, moved for passage of Ordinance No. 891: Ord. #891 parking AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARA- GRAPH 18.510 of Municipal Code This prbhibits parking over 2 hours on working days on South Maple between Prospect and Lincoln. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Casterline Ekrsn Gaw Phillips Motion carried. President Schlaver proclaimed the week of January 20-26, 1963 Jaycee Week as JAYCEE WEEK. President Schlaver announced that the members of the Board, Elections including himself, who were not running for election next April 16th had formed a committee and set up the precincts, etc., for forthcoming election. He also announced for Clerk Ruth Wilson that drawing for places on the ballot would be held on January 21st, in her office, at 8:30 A.M., for all those whose petitions were ready. Attorney Hofert stated regarding Lombardo vs Village case that Lombardo vs attempt by insurance company to settle out of court had failed; this Village case will probably go to a jury trial. January 15, 1963 arkin~ Parking problems around churches on holy days and days of great church activity were referred to Trustee Bickley. Adjournment by acclamation at 9:20 P.M.
