Dear Mr. Appleby: Route #83
We have made a check, as you suggested, and find that 161
students cross Elmhurst Road four times a day -- 86 in kindergarten
through third grade and 75 in fourth, fifth and sixth grades. This
count does not include the students crossing to ~o to Lincoln and
St. Raymond's.
A stoplight at Lonnquist and Elmhurst Road would be of great
benefit to all and especially to those who cross after school hours
to play with friends when there is no traffic guard to guide them across.
