HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/04/1949 VB minutes 1 .0 b MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1949 The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8:05 P.M. The Clerk called the roll and the following Trustees responded: Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott, and Ielsh. The Clerk then read the minutes of the regu- lar meeting of December 14th. A motion was then made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: A11; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and said minutes approved. Mr. John A. Fulkman of Consoer, Townsend, and Associates then presented plans and specifications for the proposed No. 4 well. After e. thorough discussion a motion was made by Trustee Bydal, seconded by hartwig, that the Village Engineers be instructed to revise the plans and specifications for the Number 4 well to include the following changes: 1) Change from metal doors end metal window frames to wooden construction end include storm windows. 2) Change from electric to Pas heat. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and Village Engineers so instructed. A motion was then made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Bayne, to accept the plans and specifications of the No. 4 well with the revisions as noted. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was then made by Trustee Lams, seconded by Bydal, that the Clerk be authorized and instructed to advertize in the Mount Prospect Herald for bids on the new Number 4 well, said bids to be re- turnable up to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 1949. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by Lams, that the President's recommendation to in- crease the Village Clerk's salary from 4325 to 0500 per year be concurred in and that the Village attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary ordinance covering the change. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the mo- tion carried. January 4, 1949 A communication, dated December 27, 1948 " from Lt. Col. Otto L. McBride Headauarters 228th Infantry Regiment Illinois National Guard was then presented to the Board. A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Bayne, that the requested changes and improvements to the presently used Village Hall and garages be authorized contingent upon acceptance of the building for rental by the Illinois National Guard. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was then made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Bayne, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly adjourned.
