MINUTES OF A REGULAR MhETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF-
:) TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT IROSFECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 1949
The meeting was called to oraer by President
Pendleton at 8 :15 P.P. and the Clerk was then directed
to cell the roll. Upon roll call the following Trustees
answered "Present :" Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott,
and Stoelk. Absent, none.
The Clerk then recd the minutes of the regular
meeting held May 10, 1949. A motion was made by Trustee
Stoelk seconded b Hartwig, that the minutes be a

as read. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All
Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion
carried and said minutes approved.
The following communication was then reed.

Honorable Members Board of Trustees
Village of Mt. Prospect
Gentlemen:
As required by statute I hereby appoint Mr. Edward
Glaeser, for 2 years, and Nor. Walter Kirchhoff, for
1 year, to serve as Trustees of the Policemen's
Pension Fund, effective from May 10, 1949
Your concurrence in these arpointments is
respectfully requested.

Village of Mt. Prospect
The motion was made by Trustee Hartwig,
seconded by Lams, that the appointments be concurred in.
The rnotion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then read a letter dated May 12, from
the Illinois State Highway Dept. stating Prospect Manor
Avenue and Memory Lane had been approved as arterial
streets as reauested in resolution No. 3 -49.

Th Clerk then read a letter, dated. May 25th
reouesting permission to close off Milburn St., between
George and Albert Streets, on June lath. The motion was
made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Stoelk, that such
permission be granted. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion
carried.
The Clerk then read a letter, dated May 23rd
from the Mount Prospect Planning Commission and a copy of their
letter to Senator Bidwell objecting to Senate Bill
No. 436 as now written.
A motion was then made by Trustee Lams, seconded ...,,
by Hartwig, that the Clerk be instructed to write to
Senator Bidwell and Representatives Van der Vries,
McGrath, and Reich requesting their support to defeat
the bill in its present form. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried and Clerk so instructed.
The Clerk then read ordinance No. 310, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION VI OF ORDINANCE NO. 164 AS
AMENDED. (WATER WORKS SYSTEM ORDINANCE) The motion was
made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, that the ordinance
be passed. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following response: Ayes: All;
Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion
carried and said ordinance passed and approved.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by
Lams, that a condensed statement of the Treasurer's
Annual Report of Village financial condition for fiscal
year ending April 30, 1949 be published at a cost not to
exceed Seventy -five dollars. The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following response:
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by
Hartwig, that the Village Attorney, be instructed to draw
up a resolution requesting the Cook County Board of
Commissioners to make Railroad Ave., between Emerson
Street and Mount Prospect Road, a county aid road. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
The Surety Bond covering the Village Treasurer
(Bond No. - N103076 with The Home Indemnity Co.) in the
amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars was then presented.
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams,
that the bond be approved. The President put the question
and the Clerk celled the roll with the following response:
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
The Clerk then read a letter, dated May 21, 1949
signed by four residents in Prospect Manor Subdivision
objecting to the size of house to be built at 100 Prospect
Manor Avenue. The letter also referred to sewer situation
in that area.
A petition, dated June 4, 1949, signed by sixty -
seven (67) residents of Prospect Manor Subdivision was then
presented to the Board. The petition asked that no further
building permits in said subdivision be issued until the
sewerage condition in that area is taken care of. The
letter and petition were referred to Trustee Lams for
further study by all parties concerned.
A motion was made by Trustee Stoelk, seconded
by Mott,that the Clerk be instructed to write to Superior
Home Builders giving them ten days to remove all building
materials from the vicinity of their office at 110 N.Main
Street and to keep the premises clear of such materials.

The motion was voted upon by acclamation, where- 3,F
upon the President declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come be-
fore the meeting a motion was made by Trustee Stoelk,
seconded by Bydal the meeting be adjourned. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried and the meeting
regularly adjourned.
