HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/04/1949 VB minutes 15 MINUTES OF A REGULAR METING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1949. The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8 :20 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed to call the roll. The following Trustees answered "Pre- sent." Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott, and Stoelk. The minutes of the regular meeting held September 13th were then read. A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Lams, that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the ouestion and the Clerk called the roll with the following response: Ayes: A1.1; Nays: None. Thereupon the Presi- dent declared the motion carried and said minutes approved. The minutes of a special meeting held September 27th were then read. A motion was made by Trustee Stoelk, seconded by Hartwig, that the minutes be approved as read. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes: A11; Nays: None. Thereupon the President de- clared the motion carried and said minutes approved. The motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by Bydal, that the Clerk be instructed to write Axel Lonnquist and advise him that inasmuch as his property along Golf Road; at the S.W. corner of the Village; October 4, 1949 has now been disconnected from the Village all 151 Village services for this property including water, fire protection and Police protection will be dis- continued effective as of Oct. 20, 1949. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the Presi- dent declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read a letter, dated Sept. 30, 1949, . from Mr. Arthur Consoer regarding the charge for plans change on number 4 well.location. A motion was then made by Trustee Hartwig. seconded by Lams, that the sum of one hundred dollars (0100.00) be paid Consoer. Townsend and Associates as settlement of r the bill in full. The President put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following re- sults: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the Presi- dent declared the motion carried. The following communication was then read: October 4, 1949 Honorable Members Board of Trustees Villaaze of Mt. Prospect Gentlemen: To fill a vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Mr. Leonard Snyder, I hereby appoint Mr. Fred Boedeker to act as a member of the Mt. Prospect Board of Health. The concurrence of the Board in this appointment is respectfully requested. May I suggest that the Clerk be instructed to write a letter of appreciation to Mr. Snyder for his work on our Health Dept. Very truly yours, M.B. Pendleton, Pres. Village of Mt. Prospect A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded by Stoelk that the appointment be concurred in. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried. The Clerk then read a communication, dated Oct. 4, 1949, from the Mount Prospect Police Pension Board regarding possibility of pension for Mr. William Muiso. The letter was placed on file. There being no further business to come be- fore the meeting a motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Mott, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly ad iourned. "
