THE MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1949
The meeting wes called to order by president
Pendleton et P:15 P.M. end the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees
enswered "Present ": Bavne, Bvdnl, Hartwig, Lams, Mott,
and Stoelk.
The Clerk then reed the minutes of the regular
meeting held December 6th. " motion wes made by Trustee
Stoelk, secrrded by Lams that the minutes be arrroved .
es corrected. The President rut the nuestion and the
Clerk called the roll with the following results: Aires:
All; Nom: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion serried and said minutes arr_roved as corrected.
The Treasurer's retort for the reriod ending
November 7n, 1949 was then reed. " motion was made by
Trustee Mott, seconded by Bvdal, that the report be
errroved end placed on file. The President rut the
nuestion and the Clerk called the roll with the follow-
ing resronse : Aires: All; Nfivs : None. Thereuron the Presi-
dent declared the motion carried and rerort arrroved.
The motion was then made by Trustee Bavne,
accorded by Hartwig, that the Special 'issessments rerort
he pieced on file. The motion was voted uron by accle-
?ratior, wher.euron the President declared the motion

A motion was made by Trustee Mott seconded
by Lams, that t !o bills as arrr.ovod by the r'inance
Vommittee he arrroved for payment. The President rut
the euestion and the Clerk called the roll with the
rollowinr results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Stoelk, to permit the South Church congregation to x
use the facilities of the Municipal Building, without

cost, on s telnrorery basis not to exceed three months
while the church is bei n' remodeled. The motion was
iroteci upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
declared the motion cerr.ied.
The Clerk then read e letter, dated December
17, 1949 from Mr. H.J. Wilson reperdinp the rrorosed
rezonirr of N.E. corner of Main St. and Central Road
from R-3 to Business.
After further discussion or the proposed
r.ezonin► a motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Bvael, to hoid the ordinance on the re- zoning over
until January 7rd, 1950 board meetinp. The President
put the ouestion and the Clerk called the roll with
the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. There_
upon the President declared the motion carried.
A letter doted December 15, from the Villaae
engineers repardi np '-he rroposed. Bel lroad crossing Metes
at Emerson St. was then reed. President Pendleton
suppested further discussion with riailroad end Commerce
Commission renresentetives before decision es to final
piers for crossing gates and traffic signals ti.ein.
A motion was .made by Trustee Mott seconded
by Isms, to scam ess in Judiciary Committees recommen-
deti_on to reenire 1n0% of prirciral Amounts for settle-
ment of sums due Vi 11 ape (under specie 1 Pe
werrant Y15) on lots ]., :�, and 4 in Block 16 in J.,hr
Me1►n's subdivision. The motion was voted uron by
acclemetior, whereupon the president declared the
motion carried.
The motion was made by Trustee Bpvvne, secorded
by Nartwi', that a further six months extension of time,
to May 6, 1950, for cemr]etion of imrrovements in Moeh-
ling's Pleasant Dale subdivision be prented and that
the comrletion bond he reduced to 48,000. The motion
was voted uron by acclamation, whereuron the President
declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Lams, secorded
by Hertwi,, to authorize the purchase of a new Peneretor
for the Pollee sound car for the sum of 4185.00. The
President rut the ouestion end the Clerk called the roll
with the following results: Aves: All; Nays: None. There-
uron the iresident declared the motion cerried.
Ordir ncr No. 719 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER II OF THE MOUNT FROSFECT BUILDING
CODE OF 197P AS AM LADED" was then rend by the Clerk.
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Hprtwip, that the ordinance be reseed. The President
rut the euesti on end the Clerk called the roll with the
followire response: Aves: Al]; Nays: Nore. Thereupon
the President c?eclnred the motion carried and ordinance

by Stoelk, that in accorderee with the amended water
ordinence the 45.00 water deposit be refunded to consumers

A motion was made bv Trustee Lams, seconded by
Stoeik, that the np'ointment of Mr. Turner be concurred
in.. The motion was voted uron bv acclamation, whereuron
the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was then made by Trustee Hartwip,
seconded by Bvdal, to nominate Mr. Norman Fall'enper as
chairman of the ZoninP Commission for the balance of
his term of office. The motion was voted anon by ecele-
mation, whereuron the President declared the motion
carried.

concurred in. The motion was voted uron by acclamation
whereuron the President declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting, a motion wes made bv Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Stoelk, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion
was voted upon by acclamation, whereuron the President
declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned.
