MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESID1fNT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 1950

The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton at 8 :10 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll. On roll call the following Trustees"'
answered "Present ": Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott
and Walker. Absent: None.
The Cle rk then read the minutes of the regular
meeting held March 14, 1950. A motion was then made by
Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Bayne, that the minutes be
approved as read. The President put the question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes:
All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried and said minutes approved.
A motion was made by Trustee Walker, seconded
by Lams, to refund to Mrs. :Frank Leider #65.00, which
sum constitutes water department expense of building
permit which was taken out but never used, and which
permit is now cancelled. The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following response:
Ayes: A11; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.
Trustee Walker then presented a letter, dated
March 2, 1950, and bills amounting to $43.13; from the
Village Engineers; for work in setting grade stakes for PP "'
sidewalks on east side of Emerson Street north of Sha-
Bonee Trail. The Clerk was instructed to submit these
bills to the Universal Construction Co. for payment as
this work is builders expense.
A motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded by
Walker, to authori -'e Public Service Co. to make the
following changes in street lights:
1. Remove the present 2500 lumen light at Central
Road and W. Prospect Ave. and replace with a 6000
lumen, mast arm suspended, lamp.

2. Remove the present 2500 lumen, bracket suspended,
lamp at Russell St. and W. Henry St. and replace
with a 2500 lumen, mast arm suspended lamp.
3. Remove the present 2500 lumen, bracket suspended
lamp at Elmhurst Road and Lonnquist Parkway and
replace with a 2500 lumen, mast arm suspended lamp.
The President put the question and the Clerk called
the roll with the following response: Ayes: till; lays:
hone. Thereupon the rresi.tlent declared the motion
carried.
The Clerk then read a letter, dnted Arril 4th,
from the Village A+tornev, transmittInw the Trustee's
Deed and Chicago Title and Trust Co. s Guarantee rolicy
covering Lions Memorial Park.
A request from ors. E.H. Robinson, Jr. as
Chairman of 1950 Cancer Fund Drive, for permission to
tag in â–ºtuount krospect on April 21st was then read. The
motion was made by Trustee Lams, seconded by nartwig,
that permission be granted. The motion was voted upon
by acclamation, whereupon the •resident declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk then read a letter, dated iJarch 23rd,
from the Salvation Army requesting permission to tag in
Mount Prospect on Friday, June 16th, 1950. At motion was
made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by walker, that
permission be granted. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation, whereupon the kresident declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk was then instructed to obtain a set
of plans for the proposed paving in Hillerest Sub -
Division and these plans are to be available for in-
spection by all interested parties.
There being no further business to come before
,rte the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded
by Walker, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion
was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the kresident
declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned.
