MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1950
The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton at 8:05 F.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll.
October 10, 1950
10 ` On roll call the following trustees answered
"Present;" Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott and
Walker. Absent; None.
The Clerk then read the minutes of the regular
meeting held October 3. A motion was made by Trustee
Hartwig,seconded by Lams, that the minutes be approved
as reed. The President put the auestion and the Clerk
called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All;
Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion
carried and said minutes approved.
The Clerk then read the Treasurer's report for
the period ending Seotember 30, 1950. The motion was
made by Trustee Mott, seconded by Bydal, that the report
be approved and placed on file. The President put the
auestion and the Clerk called the roll with the follow -
ins response: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
A motion MIS made ° by Trustee Mott, seconded by
Lams, that the Special Assessments report be placed on
file. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon
the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by
Bydal, that the bills as approved by the Finance Committee
be approved for payment. The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following results;
Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the }resident declared
the motion carried, and said bills approved for payment.
A motion was made by Trustee Bayne, seconded by
Lams, to deny the petition of the Superior Home Builders
for re- zoning of Lots 6 to 13, inclusive, in Block 24 of
Prospect Manor Subdivision from the present R 2 classifi-
cation to B (business). The President put the question
and the Clerk called the roll with the following results:
Ayes: Trustees Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams, Mott, and ,,,
Walker: Nays: None. Thereupon the 1- 'resident declared
the motion carried and re- zoning denied.
The Clerk then read a letter dated October 4th
from the Chicago and Northwestern Railway System regarding
the signed agreement covering proposed crossing gates at
Emerson Street. The letter was referred to the Judiciary
Committee.
The Clerk then read a letter dated October 4th
from Arthur T. McIntosh and Co. regarding a proposed
subdivision lying west of Foster Avenue between Northwest
Highway and Memory Lane. A motion was made by Trustee
Bayne, seconded by Walker., that the letter and preliminary
Plan be referred to the Mount Prospect Plan Commission
for their study and recommendations. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
declared the motion carried.
Trustee Mott then presented an audit report of
Water Department funds for the fiscal year ended July
31, 1950.
A motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded by
Bydal, that the Audit Report be placed on file. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then read bids from the Graft()
Decalcomania Inc., United Decalcomania Co., Inc., and
the Chicago Decalcomania Company for the supplying of
necessary vehicle license stickers for the year 1951.
A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, seconded by Bayne,
to accept the bid of the Chicago Decalcomania Co., which
was the lowest of the three bids submitted. The Presi-
dent put the question and the Clerk called the roll with
the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.

A motion was then made by Trustee Bydal, 21

seconded by Lams, that the Village Attorney be
instructed to draw up an ordinance, amending the pres-
ent water ordinance, to increase the cost of a residen-
tial meter from 425.00 to 430.00. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President
declared the motion carried.
The motion w£Is made by Trustee Bydal, seconded
by Hartwig, that in accordance with the amended water
ordinance the 45.00 water deposit be refunded to qualified
residents as listed by Water Rate Collector, September
30, 1950. The President put the question and the Clerk
called the roll with the following results: Ayes: All;
Nays: None. Thereupon the }resident declared the
motion carried.
The Clerk then read Summons Number 5009079,
Circuit Court of Cook County, The motion was made by
Trustee Bayne, seconded by Lams, to authorize the Village
Attorney to file an appearance on behalf of the Village.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting, the motion was made by Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Hartwig, that the meeting be adjourned.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon
the President declared the motion carried and the
meeting regularly adjourned.
