MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1951
The meeting was called to order by 1 resident
Pendleton at 8:10 P.M. and the Clerk was then directed
to call the roll.
The roll was then called and the following
Trustees answered "Present ": Bayne, bydal, Lams, Mott
and Walker. Trustee Hartwig was absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting held
February 6 were then read. The motion was made by
Trustee Lams, seconded by Bayne, that the minutes be
approved as read. The President put the Question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes:
All; Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried and said minutes approved.
The Treasurer's report for the Period ending
January :1, 1951 was then read. A motion was made by
Trustee Mott, seconded by Bydal, that the Treasurer's
report be accepted and approved as read. The President
put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following response: Ayes: A11; Nays: None. Thereupon
the President declared the motion carried.
A motion was then made by Trustee Mott,
seconded by Lams, that the bills as approved by the
Finance Committee be approved for payment. The Presi-
dent put the question and the Clerk called the roll with
the following response: Ayes: All; Nays: None. There-
upon the President declared the motion carried.
The Clerk then read Ordinance it338 entitled
"AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING ELECTION PRECINCTS AND APPOINT-
ING JUDGES AND CLERKS FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD APRIL 17, 1951 ". A motion was made by Trustee
Bayne, seconded by Walker, that the ordinance be passed.
The President put the question and the Clerk called the lot
roll with the following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and
said ordinance passed and approved.
The Clerk then read Ordinance f339 entitled,
"AY ORDINANCE REQUIRING SNOW REMOVAL FROM SIDEWALKS",
The motion was made by '.Trustee Bayne, seconded by
Walker, that the ordinance be passed. The President put
the question and the Clerk called the roll with the
following results: Ayes: All; Nays: None. Thereupon the
President declared the motion carried and said
ordinance passed and approved.

The Clerk then read Ordinance 0340 entitled
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE VOTERS
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT COOK COUNTY ILLINOIS
THE QUESTION OF ISSUING $22,000.00 FIRE IMPROVEMENT
BONDS AT THib REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
AND FOR SAID VILLAGE ON THE 17th DAY OF APRIL, 1951."
The notion was then made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Bydal, that the ordinance be passed. The President
put the question and the Clerk called the roll with
the following results: Ayes: Trustees Bayne, Bydal,
Lams, Mott and Walker. Nays: None. Absent: One.
Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and
said ordinance passed and approved.
A motion was then made by Trustee Lams, seconded
by Walker, that the Village Clerk be instructed to write
to the Mount Prospect Men's Club, regarding the possibility
of the Men's Club sponsoring a project for the partial
developement of the Lion's Memorial Park by the planting
of trees in designated locations, in and around the park.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Bydal, seconded
by Walker, that in accordance with the amended water
ordinance, the 45.00 water deposit be refunded to
qualified consumers as listed by water Hate collector,
January 31, 1951. The President put the question and the
Clerk called the roll with the following response: Ayes:
all; Nays: Tone. Thereupon the iresident declared the
motion carried and said refunds authorized.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee Mott, seconded
by Lams, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was
voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the kresident
declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned.
