TRUSTEES HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING, MOUNT FROSIECT, ILLINOIS
ON TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 1951
The meeting was called to order by President
Pendleton et 8:45 P.M. In the absence of the Village
Clerk, Trustee Lams was appointed Clerk Prn Tem. The
roll was called and the following Trustees answered
"Present": Bavne, Goodling, Ibbottson anti Lfims. Trustees
Brawn and Hartwig were absent. The minutes of the regu-
lar meeting held May 8 were then read. The motion
that
was made by Trustee Ibbottson, seconded by Bayne, p
the minutes be approved ns read. The President rut the
question and the roll was called with the following
results: Ayes: All: Nays: None. Thereupon the President
declared the motion carried.
The motion was then made by Trustee Bayne,
seconded by Ibbottson. that the sealed bids pertaining
to the traffic signals at Emerson Street, section R,
whereuron
Bids were received from &ood Electric con-
struction Company of Chicago and H & H Electric Company
of River Grove, Illinois, together with the derosit
checks in the proper amounts. Action was deferred for
the time being to enable Mr. nehm of our village engineers
to review the bids and make a recommendation to the
Board.
A letter,dated June 4th, 1951, from S.B.
Geiger and Company relating to the No. 4 well was then
read. Action was deferred until next meeting of the
Board.
Summons No. 51052: Circuit Court of Cook
County, pertaining to foreclosure of certain lots was
then read. A motion was made by trustee Goodling,
seconded by Ibbottson. that the Village Attorney be
instructed to file an appearance for the 'Village on or
before June 18,. 1951. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
A motion was made by Trustee Bavne, seconded
by Ibbottson, that the Village Clerk be instructed to
write to the state representative from our district,
strenuously objecting to House Bill. No. 665, now pending,
which would require municipalities to hire a licensed
plumber to make all plumbing inspections for new
plumbing installations. The motion was voted upon by
acclamation_, whereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
A letter of Opinion, from the Village Attorney,
dated May le, 1951 was then read. This letter outlined
the steps which the Village Board has the right to take
relative to replacement of the present pumping equipment
in well No. 4. Action was deferred to the June 12,
meeting.
A. letter dated Mav 18, 1951 from the Elan
Commission of Mount Prospect recommending the acceptance
of the Arthur T. McIntosh plat of Northwest Meadows
subject to compliance with .the Village Plan and Zoning
Ordinance was then read. A motion was made by Trustee
Goodling. seconded by Ibbotson, that the plat be approved
es recommended. The President put the question and
the roll was called with the following results: Ayes:
All: Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the
motion carried.
The motion was then made by Trustee BnynP,
seconded by Ibbottson, that the bid of h & H Electra'
Company in the amount of 0,744. being the lowest bid

be accented suhiect to approval of the State Hifrhway 43
Department and subject to a suprlemental additioned
appropriation because of an increase in cost above the
original estimated cost. The President put the question .
and the roll was called with the following results:
Ayes: All; Nays: N„ne, Thereupon the President declared
the motion carried.

by Bayne, that the Pppointment be concurred in. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the
President declared the motion carried.
A letter dated May 17, 1.951 from the Division
of Hiphwpys, in answer to a letter sent by the Village
Clerk, regarding lowering of speed limits on route P7,
south of Weller Creek bridge, was then read. N
action was taken.

the meeting, e motion was made by Trustee Ibbottson,
seconded by Goodling, that the meeting be ad,iourned
The motion was voted upon by acclamnt'on, whereuron the
President declared the motion carried end the meeting
regularly adjourned.
